I use bushido lance regularly. I like the triple poke and ease of using guard advance with striker lance. It can be more aggressive than waiting to counter moves because you can put the counter inbetween attacks rather than dodging first. It also looks cooler imo. I enjoy both styles but I don't like being forced to use one because even with guard +2 ferocious monster attacks do massive chip and knock you back.

Does Lasting Power affect Wystones? I know it affects most timed duration items (hot/cold drinks, adamant pills, might seeds, etc.) but I couldn't find any reference to the skill affecting Wystones.

That said, the 3DS games frequently dip sub-30 even on the n3ds, with 4U sometimes going down to 10-15 with four-player hunts and X/Gens apparently being even worse, and this is despite the fact that they have very low-res textures, archaic animations and most importantly play on a 240p screen. Even 3U on the wii u runs at a silky smooth ~20 fps even singleplayer in moga village if you play it on an HD display rather than the gamepad screen.

I've got Mounting God, Challenger +2, Steady Hand, Sharpness+1, and Partbreaker. I've only got 5 slots, one 3-slot piece and one 2-slot piece, so I won't be able to get even Attack Up (S). It charges fast anyway, and faster as the charge level increases, and outside of 4U it can stay at red the whole fight once it gets there, and you can work jabs that build spirit into your spirit combo so it's not like you even need a full bar or whatever to do that. Fast charge affects a lot of weapons but is only really a necessity on GS, its effects range from mildly convenient (LS, CB) to negligible (bow) on other weapons.

I get it in lower ranks so you can unlock stuff but why bother leveling a GQ to 140 if you cart the moment the monster turns its attention on you? Going from MH4U to P3rd as a solo player is fantastic.
I hate G rank. The new moves are sometimes bullshit. The HR armor redesigns are almost always worse. The HP/Def pool is massive. It's like it was made for multiplayer only. It turns HR into just another stepping stone to the end game. Monster Hunter games with only LR/HR are always better designed.

If I want a rathian tail, I can do LR or HR just to farm it. Only certain generic materials have HR version, and HR has better drop rates for rarer stuff like gems or plates. But G rank has to be dick. Rathian tails are now Rathian lashes. Rathian plates are now mantles. You will be fighting that one mob in g rank and only that version.

There's no reason to include a third rank, and even less reason to make a "multiplayer-only" rank.
The ideal Monster Hunter game has a LR/HR for singleplayer (village) and a LR/HR for multiplayer, both scaled for the appropriate number of players. That way you can make HR multi an actual challenge (4 player hunts are a joke most of the time) no matter the player count. Also it means none of this bullshit where the entire community is in a single rank that's surprisingly hard to reach solo. Try doing dalamadur HR7 solo with only HR gear. It's a pain the ass.

You're just doing the same thing you did when you went from LR to HR again. Why not make a G^2 rank once you finish G-Rank? Let's make a G^3 rank too, to keep "challenging ourselves."

Late G-rank can take you like 40 min if you're not min-maxing your weapons/armor, which defeats the point of a handheld game.

how far into G rank did you get? if you do the event quests and some of the final G rank quests you will see that even with endgame armor you can only take like four regular hits before you're dead
there also isnt a lot of monster comboing in low rank, high rank or early g.
