I had a really bad opinion against nova, I thought she sucked, garbage, waste of a slot and secure loss... until I played with her... It's not even hard to play with her, and she can alter a teamfight and give her team the advantage really easily, it's all about who are you targeting.

I just picked up gazlowe and had a blast. I build for maximum camp taking, sieging, and wave clearing. It worked well in a single quick match I tried, but should I take grav bomb to be more useful in a team fight? I tend to avoid them atm.

One of his bigger problems, I think, is his teammates. I've seen lots of missed kills on roamers when they stumble into a bush of mines and limp away with 20%, and the nearby laner hasn't even taken notice.
Same for vision via mines, people (at low mmr, at least) don't really keep an eye on their minimap, and miss the rotation, getting ganked.
I think he's a pretty neat Hero, just a bit niche. Again, there's the potential to get a lot of flak, especially if you draft him.

Hinterland Blast is pretty much the most easily avoidable ult. If you ever picked that shit in Hero league you're almost a useless pile of meat.
Falstad already deals a shitload of damage without Hinterland blast, and gust has so much more use to any team, even in QM.

Target a squishy autoattack with the jail, run in, pop shield, use scythe, pop skelli mages, hit 2-3 times with improved autoattack.
Run out when you are low on hp and fill up on nearby minions or get healed. Repeat or run away, if the others on your team fucked up.
His true strength is that he can soak really good with his skills (and push to some degree) in several lanes, where nobody is currently soaking. If you do it right, you can get close to Viking Xp (20-30% less) and still be at teamfights.

Mages are more of a situational thing, it's handy for area denial and if the enemy team has lots of backline. Poison Nova is great for melting frontline, but it's not very effective if they have a healer or little frontline. Amplify damage and backlash are a fun combo, just make sure to gauge the enemy team's amount of auto attack before you take those two. Shade does wonders for your survivability if they've got Illidan, Greymane, Valla, etc.

I personally dont think tracer looks that broken at all. She's not like li ming with her CD resets or xul with his point and click root. She's high mobility, forsure, but if her only damage is AA then her not being OP is just a simple "get the numbers right" thing, whereas with li ming her OP-ness is permanently part of her kit, you cant nerf her without a head-to-toe rework.

Sometimes I don't feel like playing Hero League but I guess I don't have a choice I want to have anything resembling fun. I think I'm just gonna do what everyone else does and only login to do dailies.
Does anyone know if mmr decays over time? I last took the game seriously when kaelthas was the most recent hero and I was master league in qm and high diamond in HL.
If I came back would I be against people who played that whole time, or would I be pooping on bronze players.
