Everyone getting pissy over the fact that it would never come out and such, when they were working on it all along and now we are 3 days away from the release.

The story progresses with just about every update, I believe. And there's new medals added

Story updates every month, there are new Medals added frequently.
The 1.2 update that just happened added a bunch of new UI stuff.
There will be like 450 quests or something when the game launches, so that should be enough to keep you busy for a while.
