Adding to this, what do against people that just keep rushing me down? I always feel scared to counter since I feel like a lot of characters that do rush down (weavile, pika libre, pikachu) can just grab me out of it for more damage. Yes but why would you? You're a zoning character, if they can't figure out how to get close there's no reason to stop punishing them for it. CQ is just as easy as getting into people's faces and figuring out which of your attacks are quickest/have enough range and recovery to catch them on wakeup. Then it's a matter of mixing it up with counters and grabs.
You do a good enough job corralling and forcing players in duel mode to get close and overheat is punishing as fuck already.

Pikachu main here looking to switch to another main. I wanted to get into playing a zoner and out of all of them gardevior looked like the best fit for me. From watching and reading I gathered that gard has good damage and her projectiles cover a lot of the opponents actions if read properly but I also see that shes a little slow,has poor HP and poor defensive and average close range options.
What do I have to keep in mind picking her up and what are some recommended materials to study to play her well? I learn really fast watching match videos so recommending me someone to study would be greatly appreciated.

My favorite pokemon on the roster is Suicune (because I like water pokemon), but I can't overcome the dirty feeling of playing zoning characters. My games are so easy because I am destroying everyone from far away. I just feel cheap and skill-less, I don't deserve the wins I am getting. It doesn't really seem that fun either.

You cannot be blocking but time your synergy when the explosion is at its peak. There is a slight cool down period where the opponent is still in the support animation.

That's probably what they're changing with Resh. The ability to combo into or off it.
He does obnoxiously high damage and as a Braixen I can do a fully charged X into his assist for a flat 200 damage with essentially two buttons. It also doesn't break duel phase so you can follow it up with fireblast or a fire whirl depending on how close they are.

WHAT IS THE ZONIEST ZONER of all zoners that can zone out other zoners? I'm fucking sick of chandelures and braixens just spamming shit then using fennekin to reset. Playing an all-rounder character (lucario, my main) against these fags is an up-hill battle always.
I want a secondary that can say "Ok, you want to play zone wars? Let's play zone wars" and just fucking spam beams and projectiles and do it better than the other fag. Is there a character that can do that? Then I can just avoid the chore of trying to get in against a zoner and just play long range and win that way. I don't care about other match ups because I will only use the zoner against other zoners, otherwise I use lucario.

Wevile is what I probably lose to most convincingly while zard is the one I lose to the most often. I beat libres but a good one will mop me since they can duel phase way better than pika and pika is not a zoner so you can keep libre out in field mode too long. I can't even reversal since libre's best meaty KD option (net grab) beats my reversal. Mewtwo in general is a all rounder like pikachu that Gives more damage,Can take more damage,has more mixups,and can zone better too at the cost of some speed and synergy build speed.

He specializes in punishing and critical hits. Stone Edge, Sand Tomb and Dragon Rush have followup attacks and animations if you manage to play the attack triangle properly. He also gets those followup attacks for free while Burst Mode. No Crit required.
The rest is straight forward enough.
Is mewtwo (not shadow) seen as a "dirty" character? I haven't unlocked him yet and he is my favorite character on the roster, might be my main, but he seems very good. Almost too good.

What makes him pretty good? From what I've seen, the reason he's good is because he is strong in every situation. He always seems to have options, which other characters don't have. Blaziken or Machamp are boned at long range in field phase but Mewtwo is good both at long range and close range.

if you can beat a decent chandelure as charizard you deserve a pat on the back every day for the rest of your life
there's no way to approach from the ground since you're so slow, thus you get forced into the air. at this point chandelure can just happily use any anti-airs he has and they'll almost definitely hit you
if you manage to get to him you now have to deal with overheat and smog, but your only reliable way to do that is charged air x, and so he can once again just use anti-air with no worries
if that wasn't bad enough, charizard is so tall that most anti-airs will hit him on the ground and lead into a full combo
charizard's best move against normal zoners is fire punch but obviously that isn't going to work here. even if you can manage to hit him with something you're going to need to get to him and hit him again 3 to 5 more times
chandelure is the only character i have a below 50% winrate against, and i had no problems dealing with him using other characters, so yeah, it's probably my character

Tbhh the only thing I find that is a issue with chandy is overheat. Now thats a BS move and depending on the assist it has no faults.
I fought a B3 chady that used that stupid assist and did overheat again. I punished the first one but the second one got me. I hate armored attack moves since you can't meaty grab them because they refuse to learn the wakeup game and just spam overheat. Its a very beatable character but is very fraudulent and will always steal games in a ranked setting. 2 rounds is not enough time to figure out if a faggot will panic overheat twice in a row. I feel your pain even though you play firepunchzard.

There is no tell for going into flying stance so if I try to grab I can risk eating a critical flare blitz(?). Fire punch is safe on block and requires a read counter which zard can mixup with his pierce moves and seismic toss. Its not a huge problem in good online connections and in extended sets but those moves net you LOTS of mileage for being predictable ad you can't punish them as hard as you think.
The safest thing to punish fire punch is a armored reversal in duel mode. In field you can only counter no punish.

You can usually tell based on if the charizard is terrible. There's pretty much no reason not to go into flying stance. If you don't go into flying stance it's punishable on block. If a charizard isn't going into flying stance he probably doesn't know how or made an error.

Can you learn better reaction times from this because my reaction time is like 300-375ms and I can barely react to this since its just random. Look, I could care less about taking a L for disconnecting, I just don't want to waste my time fighting a suicune that's going to spam blizzard while the lag is so bad that I can't even block on reaction.

I mean he's literally the only character I learned and came natural to me. If I had a choice I would play Blaziken but he's so sad vs anyone who has a projectile.Also I have no clue on how to do the infinite and have no intention of doing so.

For the first time I ever, I didn't feel good over winning. It felt dirty, and wrong.
By the 4th rematch I could tell he had resigned to his fate. He wasn't throwing the match completely but I could tell he was trying different ways to figure out how to best me. He could have disconnected but he stuck through it like a champ and took the rank down.
I'm taking a break right now because I'm both depressed and I don't want to rematch against him anytime soon.
