I think I still suffer from random ctds, more often in exteriors. It's such a pain in the ass when it's not a 100% reproducible ctd to troubleshoot.
My last character got to like level 84 to give you an idea of how infrequent the ctds were.
Just started a new pure mage character, disabled some mods, added some more. Have some weird things happening but not much ctds so far.
Is there a mod that lets me place impaled corpses around the environment like lawn flamingos?

Hi everyone, It is my first time trying to mod my Skyrim (steam version) and I'm really having a hard time getting it to work.
So far I've reinstalled several times the game since I simply can't get this mod to work.
The mod I'm trying to install is Phinnix Natural ENB (PNENB) found here:

0.-NOTE: If you use other ENB's and have made custom tweaks, you might want to back up the enbseries folder for those prior to copying over the PNENB files. That way you can copy them back if you decide to install a different ENB. -----> I haven't used any prior ENB, so there's nothing to do here.
1.-First download ENBSeries v0.305 (mirror). Copy d3d9.dll from the "WrapperVersion" folder to your main Skyrim folder, saying yes to overwrite (this will also make sure you are using the right version and not one from another ENB, which is important). ----> I download the file directly from the mirror, open the "Wrapper Version" folder, and then copy ONLY AND ONLY the d3d9.dll and then install it in my SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/ folder (there's another Skyrim folder which would be "SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/Skyrim" folder, but I'VE NEVER INSTALLED the d3d9.dll there. One thing, my computer has never asked my if I want to overwrite the d3d9.dll, since there were no previous file in my main folder.
2.- Copy everything from the "1-ToSkyrimFolder" of the main PNENB download to your main Skyrim directory, saying yes to overwrite. -----> I do this. my cpu asks me to overwrite, I click "yes", then a lot of new archives are created (and overwritten) in my main folder.
3.- Copy PNENB.esp from "2-ToDataFolder\Vanilla Only" to your Skyrim\ata folder --------> I do this, there's only a single archive in that folder so I copy it and then paste it in the "ata" folder. I DO NOT copy the entire folder (toDataFolder) in the Data folder.
4.- and check it in your mod list. ----------> This is the only part of the installation that I haven't done, since I couldn't figure out how to "check it in my mod list". What are you talking about? I'm really new and feel very stupid since I couldn't get a SINGLE mod right.
I installed manually. I also couldn't get MO (Mod Organiser) to install it.

I thought it'd be ok if it was played more as a "criminal underworld" type guild. Get rid of the nighthengale stuff. Safe it for an actual thieves guild I guess.
I felt like a mob enforce doing those quests, then the nightingale shit kind of felt like too hard a change of pace.
I'm not too fond of the companions though.
instead of a fighters guild, I got a Werewolves guild. Which is nice. but a fighters guild would have been nice to go along with it. I just felt the overarching story was too much about the werewolf part.

I just got a ENB so I'm no expert, but I know my rig actually takes 15 seconds or so of a black screen with the blue loading cursor before it loads the game. I would think maybe it has to do with your ENB injector or something. From what I remember, a missing ESM or something will crash after the logo starts appearing.
Try just deleting all ENB related files, if anything, just organize your folder by data created/added and delete the ones all with the same time. Then start over.

My game used to run with my enb at 60 pretty much everywhere, but I installed verdant and now outdoors drops me to 40-35.

So, I know some of use have been here together for a while now. I myself have been on /tesg/ for around 6 1/2 years, originally ogling other people's waifus and starting image collections.
When Skyrim came out, my dreams of being right in the middle of all these sexy shenanigans and fantasy world came true.
Fast-forward to 2016, and I still love this place. Others have been around longer, and have been modding their games much longer than myself, but it feels like it's been a good chapter in my life. I'm not leaving or anything, because I know that's how this is starting to soundBOOOO, get out you nerd!, but my real point is that ever since I hit puberty and began to notice myself in the mirror and through webcam images, I always felt like I could be a beautiful girl. Skyrim modding has helped me realize that fact even more, even after giving up on the idea of living out my life as a male.
Well.... no more. This is a big decision I know, but my life will be infinitely better for it. I'm going to make the change, and become the woman I thought I always should have been.
I hope none of you think of me any differently in the future, and I greatly appreciate the friendships I have made along the way, and I hope they never stop.

I actually had my main characters apprentice (which I also play as) walking to Markarth to sell some dwarven forged goods and they got ambushed and killed by Forsworn because I decided to bump the spawn up higher than I probably should have for my characters that travel alone. So now we hunt forsworn to keep our trade routes clear.

I had some decent encounters were they actually got the drop on us. a memorable one where I was out at night and a storm came down where we couldn't see shit and we stumbled upon a forsworn camp. Lost almost all my crew.
My character is my old morrowind character rebuilding House Telvanni of sorts in Skyrim, and I set up that Tel Nalta place as my sort of Sadrith Mora where all the Mouths are, and it's pretty close to the reach, so that's how the whole issue with the forsworn came into my character's story. I do dead is dead, so my apprentice dying did peeve me a little bit as well.

Actually I'm a Nord. But, I let myself be turned into a vampire back in Morrowind mostly for the benefits of immortality. It was actually part of my characters story. I spent next few days (hours in RL) of the game just turning random bandit women to my harem and shit, like a lust crazed newborn vampire before getting my shit together. I try to create a consistent world in each game, so I had my characters followers for each save file. My characters best friend is a High Elf who joined the Mages Guild, which is why I chose not to fuck their shit up with Telvanni unleashed. That was the basis for my character going to tamriel in oblivion, my high elf bro got called to help with the necromancer problem and asked me to come along because I had more experience with necromancy. I'm in Skyrim now of c ourse because Vardenfell is fucked making me the Telvanni Archmagister of ashes, and returning to my homeland seemed like a good idea. So I have both characters just broing it up. I made a amulet that let me heal constantly in Morrowind so I could day walk which I roleplayed as a project between me and elfbro. I have to still port elfbro to skyrim though.

Well it wasn't too bad. That character was started a few months before Rim came out, and I went on a binge. I had experience with both games modded at that point so I carried on the story pretty quickly. The biggest gap was from Skyrims release to now, because I got it on the console first because I was a poor ass college student and I refused to port my character until I got it for the PC.

If I knew how the region damage mods worked(if they do what they claim) I guess it would be possible but really tedious.
The only way I can think is by utilizing invisible meshes that fit unused slots and attaching a script to those 'armours'. Every time you wear an armour, the invisible mesh is also equiped. It wouldn't work for most clothing and armour that have small spaces but if something is sleeveless and the invisible mesh filled that sleeveless area and can be targetted and have a script fire when that area is hit, then maybe.

Sadly the lowest % is locked to 10%, and 10% is fucking common. You'll get the most out of the mod if you use a vanilla follower, not just the vanilla follower voices.
It gets pretty annoying, I suggest you add a mod that keeps followers further away from you.

I remember the mannimarco revised mod had a wraith that would stay still before screaming and doing a horrifying bounce sprint at you and paralyzing you before disappearing. I always thought it'd be cool to add random encounters like that in rim to get the /x/innawoods feel. Like just seeing a little girl in the middle of the swamps of morthal before she noticing you and comes at you screaming. Little shit like that. It'd be better if the mod description was vague on exactly why spooky shit was included so you'd always be on your on edge. I mean just rare chances of some real jump scare stuff.

Fuck that they thought it was a good fighters guild alternative. It could have been a small faction and included more focus on the werewolf aspect instead of trying to be both a fighters guild and werewolf questline and failing at both.
