Is there a reason as to why Append 2 in particular requires some extra work to install? I am currently in Japanese Locale and Japanese Format while running it as admin and I cannot seem to get it to recognize that I have installed AA2.
I have double checked my registry, are there any other things that I could try? So far everything up until Append 2 has just been simple. I haven't installed the all inclusive updates yet.

packupdater basically injects files into the .pps You can do it manually but you have to decrypt the up_ files (iirc that's how they're named), decrypt the corresponding jg2*.pp and do the updating yourself. Don't know what you should do about the registry thing though. Don't think it'll work but try adding/removing the trailing "\" in the path in your registry entries.
