Without Anchira nothing seems worth it plus Mimlem is a pretty decent SR. And eventually I'll get Siete and maybe Nio. Rosetta wouldn't necessarily be completely replaced, no. The subteam also exists, and with wind's backwater playstyle if you fuck up and lose someone you might be thankful to have Rosetta. There's no reason not to use the Start Dash to help you now, anyways. What were you planning to do when a Surprise ticket rolled around, not buy it because you don't want a wind character that you might not use forever but you don't have a light team and miss a guaranteed SSR of your choice? Start Dash is literally to help you get started, if you just sit on it till later because of a team you won't have even half a year from now you're pretty retarded senpai. And considering that it's a guaranteed legfest exclusive and one that will really do you some good, I really, really recommend you go for Rosetta.

Yoda isn't really as shitty for endgame as you may believe, it's just that his gimmick to his ougi becomes useless. But then you use the stacks for the guaranteed triple attack functionality, or for evading/taking hits like powerful single-hit or multi-hit ougis and not being damaged.
But if you're dead set on the memest of water teams: Gran, Lancelot, Altair, Riruru.

That's because those are summons, not characters. Luci and Baha are attack boosts for Light and Dark respectively, pretty good and not replaced until much much later, and even then are still useful. Grande is a 100% attack boost if your team is at least 3 different elements, which is fine early but really no good lategame.
Though generally you'll want to focus on getting a good character, not summon, since you'll need to build a decent team. Also word to the wise, starting light or dark is ball-busting because the drop rates on equipment you need is like a tenth of what it is for the main elements.
But really, how is that even possible?

It is. Rosetta is a massive jump in ability to solo things with a shitty pool, and she stays good as your pool gets better. Sure, you can replace her with Siete once you have a good pool, but before that she will be preferable for every solo situation, and after you get the pool she will still be a great option for any fight where you need to stay alive for a long time. With Rosetta in the party, dying is much harder.

The original guy was concerned about what to do with his start dash since whoever he'd use for wind besides Petra was going to be replaced. My point was that you shouldn't concern yourself with characters that are better if they require a several MONTH time investment to get first, just use the Start Dash on someone like Rosetta who is still very, very good, and especially since she's so hard to get with a limited window. If all you can say bad about them is a GW character is better, they're worth ticketing.

You mean Lancelot? Silva is great when starting to get into midgame but once you hit near the end of lategame, you'll realize that you don't even need to pop off her first skill to hit the cap. Silva is most useful for bursting - especially during AT.
Lancelot would be better long term since his 5* ougi gives his nuke ability a 2x hitting effect and, overall, does more damage than Silva during longer battles.

Probably the most reliable place to get low-tier mats for a new player (other than clearing gradually through the story) is to do the island mini-bosses. They often drop orbs or books of their associated element, and you probably don't need many of them. For example the Griffon drops wind mats.
