It's true. But he has a voice line or two talking about the greater good of the kingdom or whatever. So he thinks he wants to work for the "good guys".

Just because he's clairvoyant doesn't mean he's evil. He's just scheming extra hard to try and get the outcome he wants. What he wants is just probably the opposite of what Dire wants, not that he's "good".

Most of the heroes related to prophecising and afterlife/death and/or quests for power seem to love the Dire side as an affinity thing as opposed to an ideological thing. That and Radiant is all about life and flowers and fluffy butterflies and being happy forever and that goes contrarian to edgelords like Visage and Razor.

Why is Shadow Demon so fucking useless.
Disruption lasts either too long or not long enough. The illusions themselves are nice, but the way it prevents the enemy from taking damage is SHIT and since illusions just have the base movespeed unless you have a slow or stun they just run away from them.
What if Shadow Poison slowed? Would it be viable then? Sure he's got his ult, but that shit's not that great, and if they get bkb he's entirely useless.
If they have any purge he's all but useless.
I get he's a niche pick and does certain things really well, but why ever pick him when other supports exist that don't suck balls at everything except Luna Glaive abuse.

And it's fucking uselesssss unless you're already ahead. If you're losing, it just delays the inevitable. He's not a comback support like Venge, or Omni, or Sand King, or any of the meta supports as of late. He's squishy as fuck with no armor so he can't trade, which means he has to zone using his shadow poison, which means you basically have to be on clarity non stop. It's mildly effective but you're vulnerable to ganks if you want to zone them out since you'll be low on mana and your disruption will be shit.
Soul catcher is random, so unless your target is alone maaaybe they get hit by it often they don't. And what the fuck does it even do? Is it a separate damage instance? Is it just a damage amp? The explanation is so vague. How many units can get hit by it? What's the chance of them getting cursed? Why can't it just be a focused curse in a small area that's a guarantee, why is it a chance to curse.
I know it's only a single enemy, but the explanation says units implying it can hit multiple dudes.
If it's a random target, why is the aoe fuckhueg. It makes it almost impossible to use.

You need to git gud. Damage amp is easy to land if you slap AoE where only one unit is. Disruption gives you free damage amp application unless you do it in the middle of a fight.

You can argue it's such a huge aoe so it's actually got a big cast range, but for something so fucking unreliable its radius is a huge negative, and its cast range pathetic. Give me the radius as the cast range and the cast range as the size of the radius, and I'd be happy.
Instead you can't use it in lane because you'll hit a minion. You can't use it jungle because you'll hit a neutral. You can't even use it reliably in a teamfight because you might hit the support instead of the carry.

Maybe you should just pick an easier hero, one that fits your skill level. Like Wraith King. He only needs one button and all you get to do is farm creeps all day. Sniper probably works at your MMR too, maybe OD too. They are simple heroes that a simple mind like yours can play.

The radiance naga build is amazing for the farm. Just skip octarine and go mjolnir ac abbysal after that. Octarine just lowers your cooldowns and takes up slots you need proper items on. Mjolnir, AC and Abbysal are the holy trinity of alchemist items. They are like antimages battlefury manta abbysal. That's how important they are.
If you don't want to play with radiance then go medallion, into solarcrest if you like, shadowblade/blink, maelstrom, basher, ac. Then finish the mjolnir and abbysal. And then go bkb or mkb. Depending on the disables. Sell solarcrest if you want both. Then you end the game. Or give out aghs. You lose 200 gpm if you don't go radiance though. Your farming is much slower without it. I get 750 gpm without radiance and 950 with radiance manta BoTs. Almost 90 games as alch.

Alch has some of the worst bases and growths in the game. He also sucks against nukers in general, and because he starts with a whopping 1 armor anyone with -armor, even if he builds armor, completely shreds him.
Basically he has to be baby sat and go unganked for 15 minutes so he can get levels and 2 full items, then he starts ganking the fuck out of anyone alone for sweet bounty money, still avoiding most standup fights and just farming stacks for mad money.
If you're not six slotted by minute 30 you're hopeless. Alchemist's biggest strength is his ability to have 2-3 items over his opponents. Oh and his ult reducing his base attack time, that's pretty bullshit right there.

Yes. But his regeneration doesn't mean shit after 40 minutes after that you can't escape. Strength heroes don't get to do that. You have to prep your stun. he's a pocket semi-carry. you literally spend most of the mid/late game inside of your allies, this allows you to pop out, pop rage and open wounds, and have infest off of cooldown to pop right back inside after yo uget focused. the auras are to compliment that playstyle. radiance is absolutely core as it allows you to passively get last hits (most of my cs in that game is from radiance).
aghanims scepter is for assimilate, it lets you put allies inside of you. this is amazing for 3-man naix bombs, but I mostly get it for what I call the exit bag. see an ally dying? assimilate them, rage tp out. also works great in teamfights because if you save a hero like death prophet from dying, it keeps their ult in the fight.

Invoker actually is a very vulnerable mid.
If the enemy has an easy source of stuns/nukes and some right-clicking ability that can compete with Alacrity/Forge Spirit right-clicking, then Invoker is pretty fucked in 1v1 laning.
For example, a stun-first Lina with a Magic Stick can just spam that shit all day and keep dropping it on Invoker until he stops paying attention and she fires a dragon slave or laguna blade at him. When I was spamming Lina games last minute to get the final mid quest, I was laning against Invokers in every single fucking game. Since all I cared was getting last hits and collecting stuns, I just kept firing stuns at the Invokers and until I kicked them out of lane.
Arc Warden is also another enemy laner that would just ruin Invoker's day. Magnetic Earth spam and Wraith spam does a lot and if he fires the Q at the Invoker after every creep wave, the Invoker is just basically a worthless sitting duck because he doesn't have the mana pool to spawn Forge Spirits or launch a counterattack in the early after every creep wave. I was kind of shocked when I got trashed mid by an Arc Warden when I thought I had an easy lane coming.
There are also other mids that give Invoker a shit time but they are mostly either rare or not meta so he doesn't have that much of a hard time.
Mid WD isn't unheard of and I can see an Invoker getting trashed by a competent WD in lane.
Also Omni mid is hilarious. Just go for a 4-0-4 or 4-1-4 build if you absolutely need magic immunity and just tower dive mids until they run out of the lane because with Degen Aura, Soul Ring, and Purification, you are basically unkillable early game and all you have to do to win mid is whack somebody until they run out of the lane. It's not foolproof but against an early game Invoker from lv 1, that will probably work really well.

Micro for Chen can be hard but he's really the only one. 90% of "micro" heroes come down to hitting your pre-assigned control group after your unit shows up and just giving them attack order in a straight line. If you aren't doing that you're doing the same thing but toward jungle camps, or just selecting all units and clicking an enemy hero.
