To that one guy last thread who couldn't decide what game to play, I'm actually having plenty of fun playing R2 vanilla after 600 hours in Attila.
It's a fine game, and even after months (well, a year by now) of only experiencing the game as the target of derision on /twg/, I haven't had my enjoyment of the game significantly harmed.
Sure, I miss some basic features from vanilla Attila, but it's fine enough.

Chaos Gods in Warhammer seem mostly independent.
Amusingly, Archaon thought that the rules of 40K applied, and his grand plan was that if he killed everyone, then no one could worship Chaos. Unfortunately, all killing everyone did was make Chaos bored enough to move onto a new world. Oh. And make Archaon immortal, so he gets to be the servant of the Gods (who he hates) forever.

Arkhan running rings around literally everyone in the first End Times book was incredible to watch, and he has the highest kill count of named characters in the entire setting. Including Kemmler, whom he killed.
