send your followers on missions nonstop. you should have 25 followers (level 3 barracks) on your main at level 100.
create a war mill level3 and spam heroic dungeons with the dungeon finder. or run mythics if you're up to it. use the iron horde scraps on work orders, for ilvl upgrades. once you're 675 on most of your followers, the money will just roll in. it won't be there every day, but when it is there (champion's honor, blingtron vault) it will be there in huge amounts.
do this on several alts and you will be set. or not. depends on how much time you willing to invest.
