As someone who legitimately enjoyed Ghosts and loves Black Ops 3 but hated Advanced Warfare, can someone explain to me what was the appeal? The only thing I can think was that it was new and different from anything we had had in CoD before. I prestiged once and never played it again, the only other game I stopped playing was MW3

I liked the EM1, one of my favorite weapons in any CoD game because it was so satisfying to use. Crossbow was fun as well but on the whole most were incredibly boring. Shotguns were at worst useless and at best highly situational, LMGs were incredibly dumbed down with only two actual LMGs in the game, MORS was the only good sniper, same for ASM1 in SMGs, ARs were mostly fine but generally outclassed by the BAL
I wanted so hard to like the game but with lackluster multiplayer, a boring Survival mode, and "exo zombies" I just couldn't b bothered with it.
Only appeal was the campaign, IMO, and it still wasn't the best in series

So guys, what has been the definition of an LMG in Call Of Duty. It has been pretty much straightfoward, with large magazines, long range, and accurate automatic fire. But wtf was an LMG in Black Ops 1. Only the m60 had above average ammo count, and they did the same damage as assault rifles, right?

Beyond that, I'm not sure, you had to waste an attachment to make them a proper LMG
