I can't even fathom the retardation of people defending improved trading mechanics to be exclusive for paying customers.
People spent so much time playing this game that somehow, they think that using countless third party softwares to complement the lack of mechanics in a game is a good or an acceptable thing.

Get Elreon and Vorici for bro deal on jews and fuses. Use poe.trade's currency function and trade your alterations and chroms for chaos then buy jews with them. Move onto fuses when you have enough but make sure you still have enough to do those daily turn ins.

What the fuck? Don't do any of that. If you're THAT poor, just pop the boxes open or just throw a transmute + augmentation. The same for maps. If you can't do physical reflect maps or something, just transmute + aug t1-t6 maps and you can sustain. Though I really recommend just throwing an alch on each map and run it.
The only time you should even bother rolling boxes is for Artisan or Arcanist, though with items not consuming quality, Artisan is worth less the trouble of rolling. For Arcanist, if you can't hit "of Abundance" (gives +3 to 8 items) in like 5 alterations, just pop it open anyway and do it. If you're not short on alterations, it's always nice to try to hit Abundance to try to get a chaos orb out of it.
Keep in mind from vendors, 2 alts = 1 jeweller, and 1 fuse = 4 jewellers, so throwing 8 jeweller on it is already 1 fuse. I've gone using a whole stack of alteration without hitting Abundance suffix, so it's better to cut your lost short rather than keep forcing it.
The VERY main thing in generating currencies if you have no friend is ID every single rare and vendor them to generate alterations.
You really should keep a tab to trade up for chaos recipe.

I'm playing a max block dual arc Glad mojlner build. It's become so obscene that I don't even need to attack large packs, they melt themselves when i block.
Tempest shield chains twice with Mjolner and triggers the arcs. So by simply running through a pack, everything dies. Leap slam in (also triggers) and everything dies. This is up to T8. You only attack with molten strike to speed up the process.
Single target can be a tiny bit slow using arc, but who the fuck cares when you can face tank everything.

even the subtle things, like the fact that there are trade chats and general chats that people actually use, that you can see other players walking around hub towns even when you're playing solo, that you can create parties via the noticeboard for specific tasks, etc.
as compared to diablo 3 where loot has no value and there's literally no reason to play with other people or even notice they exist unless you're a no-lifer trying to grind 2k paragon in a season to climb grift leaderboards and you need the party xp boost.
