Who balances this shit? Like, really. Illidan is fucking outrageous. You can't pin him so running away just means you get separated from your team with him riding you. You can't out-damage fucking autoattack regen. You can't escape him even without hunt.
If he targets me as Kael, I need to just run n hope someone on my team can peel hard like Diablo. I cannot fight back because he outheals everything I do besides some full combo w/ pyro, everything hitting and a level advantage. Everything I have to kill someone autoattacking me. If he has hunt? Just gg right there, if he picks me to die I will die. Same fucking story with Falstad, Liming and Jaina. Illidan basically hard counters every assassin in the game right now.
Good job Blizzard. I wasn't prepared and removing bolt was best idea ever. So glad Illidan players finally have their true skill unleashed.

Almost anyone with good cc, blinds or attack speed slow can shit on Illidan. Brightwing, Artanis, Thrall, Xul, Sylvanas, Li Li, Muradin, Johanna, Dehaka, Malfurion and Uther are probably the best counters. Butcher and Murky would be good too if the enemy doesn't have cleanse.

I find myself constantly angry when playing characters with even a little bit of global presence.
Like, I couldn't play Zagara, because I felt omnipotent with all my creep, but my team still acted like retards who don't know what the other team is doing at all.
I imagine Dehaka is the same way with his teleporting. Plus, his tongue and burrow effectiveness is almost 100% dependant on his team.
Not saying it is right. He might be making terrible calls, but it feels different and being in that seat gives you the wrong impression.

In my experience xul is better for carrying, and considering this is HotS where 1 in 2 playes is completley pants-on-head retarded, greymane might be a bad choice because he feels pretty dependant on everyone on your team being competent. Like with greymane, you're squishy as shit in worgen form so if you dive the enemy backline you'll get obliterated, so you have to hang back and poke until the other team gets low enough that you can dive in and secure kills, and if your teammates can never get them low because they're being outplayed then greymane is ineffective.
Xul doesnt really have that problem, you can pretty much always comtribute as xul

The vast majority of her talents are about improving her survivability and her ultimates are warrior skills. Maelstrom is burning rage on a 100 second cooldown and Ultralisk is "I can't believe it's not Misha".
Her combo is good if she can ever hit someone with it but then she's totally out of damage for at least 7 seconds. She only hits for like 100 damage and because her combo is so specific you can't even utilize double strike. Her damage isn't terrible, but it's definately not in the same category as Thrall, Illidin, or Li-Ming sustained or burst.

His rework was less of a rework and more a number adjustment with some talents getting shuffled around. He's better than he was, but none of his core issues have been addressed (like Scrap doing approximately fuck-all nothing for Robo-Goblin, and Robo-Goblin in general). Gazlowe has always been in a precarious "almost good" state, and the update made him reasonably middle of the road - not terrible, but not top tier either. He's at least got the potential to shine more often in the earlier stages of the game, which is something he needed pretty badly.
All in all, it's not that the update was bad, but it definitely wasn't enough.

Lazer build was always shit because outside of stun and bomb Gazlowe sucks at teamfights.
A turret build will do similar damage in teamfights and also let you snowball.
New patch made pure turret snowball build worse, but lets you mix it bomb or lazer buffs.
You can now take all the good turret talents and also take the best Lazer Talents (coils & extra damage) and make a way better builld than the one you just mentioned.

Absolutely. Individual turrets are good for being annoying, sure, but the laser has enough range and damage to actually secure kills and diverting attention away from securing the objective in question. Besides, the laser doesn't require you to take the retard ult to make it target properly.

I have played turret Gazlowe before, and the long and short of it is that the placement cooldown on turrets and their placement strategy typically makes them not so great against competent players. If you put 'em too close together they're vulnerable to AOE, put 'em too far apart and you're basically begging to get hit with a skillshot. Even before the update, I killed turret Gazlowes all the damn time because they had little mobility and it was always obvious where they were going to be. Playing with them on your team sucks ass, because they're always too busy playing Tower Defense somewhere and either never show up to objectives or show up way too late.
I'm not saying that the turrets are completely useless, but I wouldn't make a fucking build around them. Every single turret-centric Gazlowe I've played with and against has been shitty.

You can put down serious damage but it's hard countered by simply walking away. It feels like his attack range is just garbage, like I feel it so much more than any other aa hero. Some games I get 25k dmg others I get 60k, 35k less because they walk away.

well, no, because you have the actual advantage of not beign seen. Its a different approach because you can backstab squishy heroes a lot easier-instead of playing on the back lines of your team you are mostly playing on their backline.

I either go full symbiote, full locust or something inbetween.
Also, monstruosity is amazing, you just need to know how use it.

Laser damage and Xplodium + Grav combos. They're really not hard to pull off when you have the range to do them. You should give it a try sometime, it's pretty nice - you get all of the kills and none of the deaths.
