So you place a field spell. Summon Master and gain the benefits of the field.
Then you pop a set card by sending your field, letting you grab or summon a Tramid monster.
And on your opponent's turn. If they try to remove your Master, you activate the effect. Send one field to grab another from the deck, and summon the huge Tramid after the resolution.
If they destroy either of your Tramids you can summon yet another from your hand as if you were playing Kozmos or something.
Or if they don't force your Master and instead enter the battle phase, you can wait until the battlephase to activate Master. At which point you can grab a field spell and summon the huge Tramid. With the huge Tramid preventing Master from being attacked.

Play against randoms on ygopro a bunch and take note of what cards you encounter and how they work together.
Adapt your decks and play against more randoms.
Rinse and repeat. You'll get the hand of it fairly quickly. It's not all too complicated.
Whenever you run into a resolution you didn't expect, google it and check the wiki and stuff.
Most randoms are shit. But playing against randoms and just encountering a wide array of cards interacting with eachother is still just about the fastest way to learn the game. And you'll learn the game much, much faster than the people who insist to only play against meta.

Skill level for sure. I mean, we have shitters here too but the average is a lot better and there are some skilly players here too.
But even if we alternate between a few meta decks and a few pet decks each, chances are still you'll run into a lot more of the same in comparison to just playing randoms. But it'll get you a distance, sure.
The skill level being better also has its perks. But sometimes it's more important to just familiarize yourself with the cards and the game itself. My advice, do both.
