The game plays much differently now. You hit 9 mana very quickly, and any good 6 mana drops will really help you out.

That said, Archon is really good right now, if you don't have any removal.

Vanar's Hailstone isn't nearly as cancerous, and Chromatic Cold is still good.

Haven't seen a lot of use out of Magmar's Dance of Dreams. It might've been good with the old Harvester.

I thought aggro was dead in this game since healing mystics and rejuvenators were staples in every deck but they werent, now they're likely dead for good. I'm a bit surprised though that they didn't reduce deck size since even before the change games never went to fatigue and I played some long ass lyonar matches.
they said that game is nearing end of beta so I assume they will release first expansion when it's over. really wish they would preview some of the faction cards they have planned since neutrals oversaturate the game

I havent played since they nerfed aoe and honestly my deck is performing about the same. I just cut the sundrops and the suntide maidens

Now that you can actually have an empty hand I cant find the room for such a low impact card. Ive just got a casual z'ir for my run-ins with aggro.

i don't know how to feel.I can see why the draw change can be beneficial to the game, but i am disappointed that the game lost a bit of what made it unique and different.
i loved the 2 card draw and it helped deck stabilize and rely less on "topdecking".
it also ensured plenty of things happening on the battlefield( basically they have halved the amount of creatures you place in the battlefield lategame, possibly dumbing down strategical use of the map).

i would have loved to see them taking another direction: for example setting max mana crystals at 10 ( 7 + 3), having none or almost no card that costs more than 7, putting general health at 30( with buff to songay to not make burn decks suck) to allow you to reach those turns would have allowed you to keep talking about the " card value" argument.

No idea whether or not should I do the soft reset. I've been playing for several seasons, first mained Abyssian with the Sarlac deck when it was the shit, then switched to Vetruvian for the SF+TW combo and then TW Blast shenanigans.
Dusted a whole bunch of all other class cards, a lot of them had legendaries but I'm not sure if I should do it since I have almost all Vet cards and 6k spirit.

the only reason to do the soft reset are if you definitely have a really high rate of shit/no legendaries rares to playable ones.
you don't even know what faction you will play next because with big changes ahead and the meta shifting in the next weeks you might find yourself deeply in love with a faction you were hating before.

That's the thing, I can only play Vet at this moment because every other faction card was dusted. If I'm to make a switch I'd have to sacrifice too much or just grind more spirit to construct it.
However there's no guarantee that what the packs I get back will contain nearly as much valuable cards as I currently have in the form of Vet purples and legendaries.

a lot of things have changed. Keeper stats were heavily nerfed no one uses it now, jaxi, MoS and a bunch of other broken cards like STW also got changed. Add to that the new rule change that allows you to draw 1 card and hold 5 every match and the play style feels vastly different. Vet now has by far the best draw mechanics and Magmar just got a decent one too. I'd say it's worth checking out since it's drastically altered the way games are played

yea, divine bond was ridiculous at 3 mana but now that it was reduced to 2 it's so easy to get OTK from double cast. Aegis barrier is very good but I don't run any in my deck cause the turn I cast divine bonds they're dead and the extra card is irrelevant. It could work but I don't need it

Long time lyonar player here, Honestly i think healing is dead. Lyonar doesnt have any viable draw engines and sundrops arent worth much and empty your hand rapidly.

Then without sundrops sunrisers arent worth it anymore either. Just go for value.

Maw, Primus and Songweaver are really solid now. I wish I would play against more than just Lyonar and Magmar right now. I'm a bit blasted that all the Abyssian legendaries I didn't have before are the good ones now, and I'm gonna miss Sarlac. Also can any other Abyssian friends confirm if Deepfire Devourer is any good now? I'm considering putting it in my deck, but Frenzy doesn't help much vs Magmar and Lyonar.

I actually think it's more fun than ever. The reason why is along with the soft reset I'm able to experiment with legendaries that were trash with the 2 draw. Pandora is pretty solid now for example. Not talking about faction balance but card balance especially the balance of high and low mana is pretty fucking balanced with these changes.
