I made a poll about whether the defense should be allowed to lead a witness during CE or not.

The prevalent opinion so far seems to be "Yes, but only if the witness is not cooperating or proved to be lying".
The problem is, is there even a way to enforce it? I'm not sure if something like this can even be a rule. It seems like it depends entirely on the Judge. But I suppose knowing most people's stance is a good thing.
Any more thoughts/opinions? Oh also feel free to vote as well, the more the better.

So I'm trying to think of better methods to cement the notion of indicted witnesses having committed the murder. Aside from outright telling them, "You were the one to kill him!" The only other methods I can think of are:

I've been noticing an unhealthy trend of cases taking far too long than they actually need to. This can be for a number of reasons such as inexperienced players, circular arguments, and just plain ol' conjecture. Whatever the case, (heh) people simply aren't having as much fun as they can at the end of the day. Now, I'm not bitching for the sake of bitching--I really think something can be done about this.
So, I've thought about this for a while and read over the guides, only to notice there aren't any real "rules" to playing the damn game. Sure, we've got a couple of ideas of what can and can't be done, but there's nothing really "set in stone", as it is. I'm thinking about what we can do to take the first steps.
I'm not the one to write the rule book, but I'm thinking I can do something to get the ball rolling. The BIG THING that can be fixed right now is the general flow of a case. No matter how much pre-planning there is, once that gavel's down, it's off to the races. What I'm looking for is streamlined, yet flexible.
Here's the deal: I'm willing to write down some basic guidelines (or "laws", if you know where I'm going with this) that will ensure the best quality and fair length of cases. My hope is that /aog/ will be able to get on the same page with one another and make this a group effort. Of course, /aog/ may think things are fine the way they are.
Another thing is the lack of exact definition for Reasoning Battles (theories, from what I can tell) and Closing Arguments (self-explanatory, but still...) and I'm sure as hell they aren't in Ace Attorney lore (haven't played Layton OR DGS, so I may be wrong)
I've been brainstorming some ideas for a while, but I won't actually start jotting anything down until the weekend. I was just wondering what everyone else thinks, and save some of my time.

Apollo here, I legit had fun for the entire case.
I didn't mind the penalties and the prosecution did a good job. Overall, one of the best cases I've played in awhile.
