Yes it's good, just don't go in expecting the hyped up "Pokemon killer" aspect. Kotaku started the phrase for clickbait and it worked. They aren't the same game at all, just two games in the monster catching genre. If you want an explanation on the battle system, someone can fill you in, don't worry the demo was indeed shit and not a good representation of how you'll go through the game.

Unlike the 3DS game, exo rates are laughably bad, so you don't scale up with the stage via progression. You have to grind some levels to get through the next. If you got friends though you'll get spirit back up in no time

160 stages so far I think (not including hidden or sewer stages). Maybe more. JP has far more stages.
It's been out in JP for about 5-6 months before US got it, so they have a lot of content to put in.

Wib wobs will move all over the place while you play while tsum tsums stay still unless you open a hole under them. You also need a minimum of three tsums to connect and two for wib wobs. There's other stuff but I'm not articulate enough to put it in words.

Wibble wobble has some RPG elements (attack/HP), though I suspect the HP is nothing more than a fancy timer. There are also stages made to fuck around with your wibwobs (notably bosses, like Snaggerjag stealing big ones, Eyeclone shuffing wibwobs, etc) so you have to adapt from time to time.
If only something like that could happen with the main game more often.

To an extent. With my Casanuva run in the YW1 (mysterious), I took in element pairings a bit more seriously since things that resist wind and fire suck, so I used books more often switching between pistol and spirit usage.
I'd bet playstyles would have different emphasis if the player character only used one tribe to specialize in.

Depends mostly on what I have highest rarity do I have. Team that I currently use. Have both Brave and Charming bonus and using Eterna as a healer makes a pretty solid team

Got lucky actually. Snartle is from my 4th reroll since I sas trying the gacha. Eterna is from my first 5 star coin. Just got Damona this morning when I was wasting about 18k coins. Shogunyan is from the medallium, with Insomni the real challenge to get. Its pretty much balance by the fact that the rest of my 5 star coin game me absolute garbage like giving me two of buttface A ranked cousin

Not really. Got one from rerolling. One from my 5 star coins and the rest from all the Y money that I got from trying to get yokai to join. Seriously I spent more than 20 souls to try and get Rageon. Its like the sewer levels have an even lower chance to befriend yokai. And Goldenyan is from the most agonizing quest in the game. All of it is balanced by the fact that the rest of my 5 star coins are garbage
