Does anyone remember Chris Robert's cringe rant? How he accused this guy called @istheguy to be somehow affiliated with the redhead, and was called paranoid etc?
Turns out he writes for the Escapist:
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/663.933243-The-Escapist-Has-Hired-PressFartToContinue-The-Same-Guy-Who-Harassed-Stalked-Dodger
Is the freelancer's target UI fucked? You can't see the opposing ship on it. Also all the Radar is impossible to fucking see with no way to focus on it.
Also the boost fuel doesn't seem to have any capacity nor does it recharge. 10/10 alien thruster technology, would put in marketing bullshit again.
how is 2.3?
>>136714280
they fixed a lot of the issues with some of the smaller ships, such as clipping through them while walking around, but other than that it managed to only add very minor things
>>136714280
Like 2.2 but with more ships and less bugs.

>CIG giving away ships that would cost thousands to buy to promote that shitty board game kickstarter
>all of its promotional art is traced or just blatantly copy-pasted
>>136719707
>Hi Derek Smart. Now please kindly go fuck yourself.
Capcha: School bus
>>136719876
Not even saying it has anything to do with CIG. It's just funny to see them sperg out like that and instantly ban everyone that dares ask a question about art from their stream.also keeping the thread alive
scg threads are dedder than rine of defense
>>136720262
/scg/ has more than 3 people posting.
>see player with Goon tag
>tfw the glory days of the Goonwaffe have fallen.
Do we have any orgs planned?
Might be time to formulate a centralized org soon now that PU is ripe with clueless casuals in their Xi'an pinatas
>it's an orgposting episode
>>136723974
It's less a question of why we hate KWA and more a question of why KWA declared itself an enemy of the people that made SC happen.
>>136726208
No, it's really that we hate weebs who pretend not to be furfags and hypocrites who pretend to hate whales but are whales themselves. Therefore, we hate KWA.pic unrelated, is next Star Citizen concept ship
>>136727562
Scoop.
Flores.
Some others who I haven't been able to identify.
>>136729638
, said the furfag.
I've been undercover in KWA for some time now and have found evidence of widespread furfaggotry and tacit tolerance of furfaggotry despite supposed KWA policy. I've found evidence of goonry, and weeb nigger cuckery is everywhere because that's what the org is about. Practically everyone talks like an autistic faggot too. I've seen more cancer there than the mayo clinic's oncology hospice facility.
>>136727179
I don't feel I deserve special treatment I just don't understand why they feel the need to aim special hostility at the people that paid for their game, you get a massive AA games for $35 because I got it for $1600, why would this be cause for you to dislike me?
>>136726703
I was considering joining in on the weebery even though I am myself not even slightly weeby, I am ambivalent towards anime, but the "Fuck Whales were gonna hunt them down cus they suck" rhetoric turned me off.
Why do you call them furries? SOurces to validate claims, I'm not being combative, jsut hadn't heard KWA referrred to ass furries before, Its was always the Choice of Weebs(KWA) or Furries(VED/Kong/Goons)
>>136731263
>tear your anus to shreds
The thing is, when KWA says something like this they mean it literally.
greetings from the long dead /edg/
Is this game good yet? I need my fix of spess vidya
>>136731550
patch 2.3 just got released, but at the moment there aint that much content.
Wait 2 - 3 months and there might be something interesting
>>136723729
>>136730315
I thought we hated GOONS?
>>136731550
It's going to be a barebones ffa space shooter for the foreseeable future.
Maybe single player in 8 to nobody knows months.
>>136732060
In their steamchat
>>136732246
So Vederation is the closest thing we've got to a 4chins org?
>>136733260
I'll raise my hand to put something together honestly.
It'll give me something more to do with my time in this game.
Just need a name and other details.
haven't downloaded sc in ages or been to the website or anything, for like six months, but still no starm arine? is it backburner for PU or smth?
>>136733918
Either way, It's a start to getting together somefunactivities.
What should it be called? We could stick with the same old style of NOFUN or Spessbros.
>>136735668
You don't have to join if it Russell U. James anon.
>>136735526
I like it as it would piss off Vederation autists
>>136736231
Hes right though anon. You can bitch about a new org but you don't have to join. Some of us would like to take on a more social aspect with this game.
>>136735885
>>136735526
So Convederacy? Or do we have any other Ideas?
>>136736846
>>136736846
But I've never been in KWA, nor do I want to be.

No really, tell us more about how this all upsets you.
>>136736992

The org tag is a max of 10 characters, so how should I shorten "Convederacy"?
>>136713926
You also cannot see the weapon readout / ammo count shit on the freelancer without enabling free look.
That in-ship UI is fucking retarded and unusable.

>>136740013

I like how one post mentioning an org completely derails /scg/

This is the highest level of autism that I have seen in a while in this thread.
>>136740013
I'd join but I actually don't ever want anyone to know I post on 4chan so I can't.
Basically I am embarassed and ashamed of 90% of the people in /scg/
>>136743920
It's ok were embarrassed and ashamed of you too.
So I get solid 60fps in AC but less then 10fps in crusader.
Is there anything that can be done to help this?
>>136743920
You are a true anon. Anyone who joins 4chan guilds is a closet tripfag. It will always be the same faggots populating them, no matter how many times they change the name.
>>136744794
Why can't we just have a group of chill and friendly people who want to work together to make fun in a space sandbox without any drama or bullshit feuds

>>136750959
That's weird, doesn't list it in the thing
Why aren't my ships showing up in this thing?
>>136751061
Probably because you CCU'd
>>136751243
Your ships have been repossessed by the UEE Parking Enforcement Division for non-payment of landing fees.
Finally got that shit set up. Time to relax and fly around Vela in my Connie.
Oh neat this was a pleasant surprise when I went to Eva onto a platform.

>stumbles on the platform

>>136756335
But that anon wasn't me. As for these, they're for linking to people to show specific mechanic updates not for showing off my amazing flying skills. Don't worry, if you stick around I'll grace you with some recordings of it.
The Saber's supposed to have six gun hardpoints, right? Four on the wings and two on the nose? I seem to be missing two wing hardpoints
>>136758061
Two one the nose two in nacelles in the wings. Four total, where the fuck did you get 6 from?
>>136750054
I think it's basically a cleaned up and simplified version of the board game they developed in house to basically tabletop the in game economy before they had a work engine. I could be conflating different things though.
>>136758398
The wiki.
I also swore it was on the RSI site too, like ten minutes ago, but now that I look it's two and two. What the fuck.

>development slow as ever
>no drama or controversy either
This is the worst time. I want some epic patch with tons of new features and environments or I want to watch the burning pile of shitstorms from a new revelation.
>>136769893
LOD is very, very old concept. In a perfect world, they should render no more voxels than a typical Crysis map.
Prove me wrong.
>>136775901
they are so far behind it's kind of sad. by now we should have persistence and nix.
>>136776708
I blame the management.
Erin probably could of released SQ42 by now.
>>136778812
i blame the decision to use cryengine. what a mess.
>muh deadlines
>muh mismanagement
>muh cryengine
>>136780412
Indeed, UE4 was close to being released when Chris decided to start work on the KS trailer. I'm sure he was aware of it. If he had only waited, we'd have more of a game that we do now without all the cryengine shenanigans.
>>136781409

>>136784559
It doesnt matter who you join, you wont be beating anyone for another year at the least.
>>136784559
You'll just be trading one form for another.
The smart move is to join an org not affiliated with /scg/ and when/if the game releases.
>>136784729
I have read it but a lot of the posts in this thread seem to say otherwise.
>>136784846

>>136782582
There will be when we actually have a game where being in an org means something.
If I want to try out all the different ships, is there a cracked build I can download and try out somewhere? Look on the usual torrent-sites, can't find anything there.
is fractured an scg org
>>136795282
>1. Fractured does not tolerate racism.
I highly doubt it
>>136795106
Why would anyone bother doing that at this point?
>>136796019
For the sake of trying the all the ships without buying of course
>>136786359
The org posting was done after I finally got Convederacy up. Now it's just one autist throwing random temper tantrums because orgs exist or something.
Anyway, we don't condone furfaggotry or sperging like a retard if this org gets off the ground. Just anons watching the galaxy burn together... as the rest hide the matches.
>>136796225
Why, none of them are going to behave at release like they do now.
If you're not willing to drop $35 (or less, if you can find an AMD package), then forget about this game for a year.
What's the best Aegis ship and why is it the Reclaimer?

Released: content complete? 2022
Released: hopes and dreams reached? 2024

once they have made their money off of 1.0 they will drop updates after a year. that is almost a certainty.
>2.2.3

>2.3

why does the get shittier as they go? isn;t it supposed to get better?
>>136803110
I'm still getting 40+ in mini PU and more in Arena commander.
>>136800831
>Finished? Never, that's the idea anyways
looks like more of a reality every day.
So any predictions about derek smarts next reveal that will break CIG? I think one of his sources told him that the starfarer increased in price and will again in the future. Clear sign of them running out of money
>>136797178
Have they said if anyone is working on the Reclaimer? I have a bad feeling because its going to be the last Aegis ship put together after the Javelin it'll be a kitbash mess.
>>136807302
Don't think so. From what we've seen of the Javelin they modeled the square thrusters already, so I'm not too worried about that.
>>136776515
What have Voxels to do with anything?
Anyway, it's not about rendering, but about your PC processing all ships, NPCs and player characters since there's no instancing yet. That strains the CPU.
>>136782110
What's with you retards and your UE4? Why the fuck do you think it'd make anything better?
Is it possible to equip Revenant S4 gatling cannons to the Andromeda for PU?

>>136813990
Devs tend to eat a lot of junk that's high in calories along with sodas and energy drinks that are also packed with calories.
I remember Erin lost the weight before. Looks like he tapered off again. I'm surprised Ben is still alive and hasn't lost a limb in addition to the eyeball.
The fans are also fucking retards who keep sending them literal shit to eat at work.
>>136813853
Actually the station is just closer
So which is more likely.
>They cut LOTS of the announced features
>They just completely announce the cancellation of development
As of this point, this game is going duke nukem 3D. They just stockpiled features but for some reason have an incredible slow development pace, maybe because of cryengine, but maybe just because they are greedy and keeping the team small to make more money.
>>136815628
Not enough buzzwords, senpai.
>>136811668
>Foundry42 will move directly from Episode 1 to Episode 2

>>136814478
Actually, Ben has lost a foot. That's probably why he became so fucking fat in the first place. Can't really blame him, if my body crapped out randomly making me lose an eye and a foot, I'd say fuck it as well
EVE goons on literal suicide watch right now
can't wait till the same thing happens in SC
>>136817218
What happened?
>>136817278

>>136817486
>look at twitch streams
>implying there's anything other than muh opsec and time dilation now if there is really a large war
So what are goons and other shitter groups actually capable of doing in terms of exploiting Star Citizen? Will they be able to exercise the same kind of control over it as they have over EVE?
>>136817119
You realize that losing eyes and feet are direct symptoms of being extremely fat, right?

>>136817278

being fat is a personal choice.
some people have an easier time gaining or losing weight, but being morbidly obese is a life choice.

>>136819094, Ben losing his foot and eyeball are the consequence of living with Type 2 Diabetes. Type 2 Diabetes isn't like Type 1 which is what some people are born with. Type 2 is literally from eating too many calories and turning into a planetoid

Let me word it like this, if nothing happens then Smart poops his pants in rage. If I'm telling the truth, something far worse is going to happenfor him
Since Erin is still en-route to the UK...
Hints:
>Star Citizen (like Star Marine when I said it) has been put on indefinite hold internally. That's primarily why Chris (of all people) couldn't talk about anything beyond 2.x. All they are going to be doing now are bug fixes and tweaks. They never planned - and won't be doing - any of the promised features. All the primary engineers are doing now is pulling a pay check for appearances sake. It's unsustainable and within the next few weeks; there will be a complete shutdown of everything not related to SQ42.
>All hands on SQ42 (which is still more of a mess, than it is a game) as we've know about; but it's serious now and has been communicated company-wide to "parties who need to know"
>I now have 11 confirmed top tier leavers (management doesn't know about at least 7 of them); a few of them are staging a joint exit. I have no intentions of naming names as I have done in the past. So you all will need to run your own LinkedIn trolling.
>>136823471
>As I predicted, they are literally out of money to finish these projects. Like literally. When I posted about "going concern" few days ago, that's what I meant. And they've been looking for investment/bailout. Past and recent efforts to raise (not just through ship sales) money, have failed. And they haven't disclosed this to the backers because they don't feel that they have to. Though one person did point out that croberts had indicated that if he wasn't making $3m per month, he would have to scale back. That's what he is expected to fall back to when the time comes. Except that he's also gone on the record as saying that if funding stopped, he could still complete the game. I have links to both statements.
>This is one that I simply cannot mention. At all. I am awaiting legal clearance (one has flat out said "don't do it"), which is why I sent Erin a message.
I trust my sources 100% because I tend to corroborate these things with others because I don't want anyone running a False Flag op on me; as that would be bad.
Seriously, I can't say more than this without causing problems for scared sources. I fear that I may have already done just that with this post
All I can say it that, anyone who has more than $5K in this, and wants to get to the truth before the end game plays out, needs to go find an attorney. right now.
Thanks Dr. Smart. I'm sure this time you'll be right.
>>136823641
>>136823471
Sure thing buddy, I'll believe it when I see it.
>>136823830
This is a good thing, anon. When Derek comes forward with something, CIG usually tries to step up their game. Let's just hope it's content and not autistic letters being posted on RSI.
>>136775901
>I want to watch the burning pile of shitstorms from a new revelation
Two weeks.
>>136824083
Yes, CIG also only released 2.0 to spite Derek. Known fact.
>>136807302
>Have they said if anyone is working on the Reclaimer?
Reclaimer is behind the Caterpillar and the Banu Merchantman, so roughly Q4 2027 or thereabouts.
>>136817119
>>136818465
>>136819958
Ben has not lost a foot. He's been blind in one eye since childhood (he credits straining to read the wing commander novels with keeping his eyesight from deteriorating completely, which is why he's so devoted to Croberts). It wasn't diabetes-related. Something to do with optical nerve paralysis, IIRC (I'm an OG from wcnews, which was Lesnick's personal feifdom for a decade).
He had major mellitis-related cicrulation problems though, and that was like two years ago when he weight 150 lbs less. So losing a foot is a certainty if he doesn't do something drastic (he won't). He just hasn't lost one yet.
>>136824556

I wonder if we're getting any more fighters
Why is the Freelancer so fucked up now
>>136849554
It was always fucked up. They just nerfed some of its stats so that it can't keep up. Now the lack of any functional UI is truly a burden.
>>136849554
Nerfed it to the ground before it really had a chance to shine. Nothing works as intended. Somehow they made it slow as shit with worse visibility for not only where you are flying but what's in the cockpit. You can't focus on the radar which is impossible to see what's going on with it, the targeting computer doesn't work at all and two of the view screens are completely out of sight and non-accessible with anything but mouse and keyboard (and are only half functional.) Also I can't seem to get missiles to fire.
>>136850021
It's slated for an overhaul pass, but who knows when that will be.
>>136850567
You have to hold it. Either way, it went from "decent" to "can't win a fight" in a single update.

>>136852381
The 300 series is one of the oldest ships in the game, and hasn't had a rework yet.
Honestly I'd like to see it get as rework, but at the same time making a vehicle that is more style than substance that is expensive but really not that great kinda seems to be the sort of thing a modern day manufacturer would do with a car, so it doesn't seem weird that in the future it would happen to spaceships as well.

>>136853110
Melt it down, grab a Mustang Beta, spend the extra $25 on an Aurora MR so you'll have a ship for exploran and a ship for running cargo.
>>136853821
Nah im hopong when the 300 series rework happens i end up with a balling fancy larger ship that actually works. We'll not much point in melting it for 2 starter ships honestly better to make the gamble.
>>136854601
Yeah, that makes sense. Considering you'll be able to decide to melt it in the future if the rework is shit than it's not a bad idea to hold on to it.
So why is the Avenger the best ship in the game?
>>136858443
Well it had to be something didn't it?
One thing I always do, when I have no lingering, subconscious doubts about a project, is to constantly defend it online so its image isn't ruined by rumors or misconceptions. I feel certain onlookers interpret my desperate attempts at explaining everything as me showing confidence.

Based Vanguard is still Aegis though.
Is it normal that when I try to do a manual landing, W and S stop being increase/decrease throttle and instead they become a really slow strafe, ship can't move faster then 2 on the speedometer.
Because of this, it takes 8 times longer to land manually then it does to use autopilot, which seems to defeat the purpose.

That's not how you spell "Endeavor", silly. But seriously, for the price, the Endeavor can make the most money in a larger variety of roles, and not to mention have double the cargo of a Taurus in a science ship.
>>136869397
>what's up with the scout?
-Removed 2nd seat
-Removed 4 out of 6 of the guns on the ship
-Shit view for a scout ship
-Can't race because the ship can't fucking fit through the rings (and if you do, you have to try really hard, and you have to slow down to fit just right, or you die).
-Not even as close to as fast as stated in concept
-Easy as shit to hit from front or back
-Cannot control what flight mode you're in (either deployed like a "flower" like the faggots at CIG described it, or in the landed mode).
There's more, but that's the general gist (or is it "jist"?) of the state the Scout is in. I don't own it, but Jesus Christ, if the Freelancer felt lonely for being shit on so hard by CIG, then they should feel good knowing that the Xian Scout got the "shit end of the stick" too, and that they're now in the same club.

>But seriously, you don't have a clue how much money it can make because its currently a jpeg
You're right, it's a gamble. But if it doesn't do pretty well, at least I only paid 350 dollars, whereas everyone else who gets one in the future gets it for 450-500+ dollars.
Also, Ben said it's his favorite ship and the one he is looking forward to the most (said it about 3 or 4 weeks ago in RtV). If the Endeavor is his favorite ship, then anyone who got an Endeavor is in for a great surprise.
Endeavor is, and I quote Ben, "back of the line", due to the unfinished mechanics, but don't be surprised if it does spectacular due to Ben's erection with the one ship HE made and concepted himself.
Ben's favorite ship is going to pay off. Trust me. If you don't trust me, then just watch the next couple (or few) years.
>>136869397
I don't know, I think people are pissy that it doesn't have missiles or something? It has large guns and is almost the fastest ship in the game along with best turning / changing direction at high speed with rarely hitting the "almost going to black out" point.
People already had a time going around in those shitty racing ships that are only able to fit one size 1 gun on it and win fights due to being uncatchable despite doing basically no damage. Now imagine that with two BRRTTTTT miniguns on it. The only downside is that since the ship is kind of splayed out flat it is easier to hit then the other small racing ships, but this will be fixed when they add the option to manually shift into the streamlined mode and fly like that.
>>136869629
Better to have 2 size 3's then 6 size 1's. Second seat is for faggots, it's a fighter not a multicrew ship. There is nothing wrong with the view, you have basically full 360 degree vision. The problem with the racing mode is to do with the fucked up checkpoint rings that don't open the way they're supposed to. How much faster could it even be? It already is capable of matching the 315r which is a ship that is built for the sole purpose of going as fast as possible and cannot turn for shit, khartu matches that speed while being able to corner tightly.
>>136842082
Ah, repair and salvage equipment on the cutlass would be nice.

Depending on how much cargo space it ends up with the Avenger Titan is basically a tier 2 starter ship, it's a bit better than the Auroras/Mustangs but not stupidly overpowered to the point where you're cutting yourself out of a decent chunk of early gameplay.
I think the only downside it has is that it's ugly.

>>136877270

You just answered your own question.
Honestly I think the biggest problem with Star Citizen right now is the people who don't understand that they're not playing a game, they're bugtesting alpha code that is with all honestly probably two years away from going gold.
If you're getting upset over the massive amounts of bugs than just forget that Star Citizen exists for six months to a year and then reinstall it.
>>136877303
Because bugs but this particular bug has been around for months and months. like you'd thing a destructible part heirarchy would be easy to fix, if wing is gone then everything mounted on wing is also gone.
>>136877449
its not the massive amounts of bugs its the glaring ly obvious and gamebreaking nature of this onme in particular and it hasn't been addressed as I said for like almost a year at least, for as long as I have been playing AC (since we had F7As not F7Cs) I have been seeing hornets with destroyed wings and magical floating guns mounted where the wings used to be, still firing.
Superhornetfags would win fewer matches if they lost weapons like everyone else does when the weapons mount gets toasted, I lose my gladiator wing and turret guns all the damned time.

Well, yes, I see that now, after the image of its missile bay was posted, but you have to agree with me that not including them in the hardpoint overview is very misleading.

I remember them saying something about Vanduul self destructing whenever an enemy clan or race can get their hands on their tech, but with the idea of them repealing this vanduul characteristic, their smaller warships like the bomber or a vanduul corvette(?) seem extremely appealing if they would allow it.I've always wanted to find ways to steal alien ships/ stuff and then sell it in-game or on the grey market for money or something like that. The an-hero lore is just fucking stupid. The only way I can see it being useful is to make massive profits on "If you want a vanduul[Anything] you either A: change your mind, or B: pay us money for it!" Literally what brought me into SC was the thought of getting together a crew of some people, stealing ships, and then selling them or their individual parts for money in the game, and then the grey market made my dick diamonds for this career with the potential of a real profit from the bullshittery. Who the fuck wouldn't want to do this?
This could be a part time job if they repeal the an-hero. Run a YT/Twitch account of your adventures, sell the fighters in-game to pay for game stuff then sell the best stuff IRL, and then buy some food off of that. This idea is making my dick way too hard. Please let us do this CIG.
>>136936424
If they wanted the Vanduul to explode, they can easily do that in the game code. Say, if all of the turrets and thrusters are destroyed self destruct in T-minus 5 seconds. Or just instantly "warp" out when heavily damaged like Erectile: Dysfunction.

They realized that most of what was created wouldn't translate directly into SC. It was a stupid idea anyway. All that work could have been used to create another LZ. Could have had the developers work directly with the PU team.

Apparently it's 5fps, and the guy was playing on a laptop anyway. My expectation for the game to be "finished" is 2018, so 60 player ships with some NPCs doesn't seem so unrealistic if this is even possible, given the time and resources they have.

The options are idrises, or Idrii. Idrises sounds retarded, but Idrii sounds more intuitive with other words that have a similar sounding ending, octopus - octopi, talus - tali, and so on. It just makes more sense to me, and I've seen others use it before anyway.

>[Procedural tech used for things other than planets?] It'll be used for planetoids. Consider a planetoid as anything that has enough mass it'll be spherical. Won't use this specific tech to use small asteroids. Would have a moon or a very large (spherical) asteroid iwth it. First things that're procedural are the landing area and mineral mining. There'll be gameplay scanning for mineral seams, finding them, going down, harvesting them, taking them back and selling them.

>2.4 will be like 2.0 in terms of scope. It will change how we play Star Citizen on a fundamental level. 2.4 is the start of Persistence where everything that was temporary or local before will now exist serverside and remain there. Loadouts will be server side, things you buy from the stores in 2.4 will be server side. In the future, changes to your hangar, ships, character, etc will all be server side, including ship damage, character health will persist after logging out. Many UI changes will come in with 2.4 and 2.5 that have been held back due to Persistence. The holotable has had things moved into MobiGlas and focus will be more on that rather than the holotable for the time being. Alpha UEC will be introduced which is a beta test for the UEC we have in our accounts currently, but will be wiped throughout testing to allow us to give feedback and hone in the currency for them. 2.4 will have bugs and some issues, but it’s the start of Persistence and many things are coming and coming soon as it has been in development for over a year.
>Vaulting will come in 2.4 and the Push/pull mechanic will come soon, but it will have ongoing tweaks to it just like physicalized EVA to make it feel right.

>The launcher revamp is ongoing and no ETA on it yet, however when it’s complete, the amount of data needed to patch will be significantly reduced from 2GB pak files to only what you need which may be 7mb. Really though, the grey market potential seems high with alien vehicles, but I'd take Xi'an > Vanduul. At least we could safely go into most of their territories. The vanduul area might literally look like the AI bug from a few days back with heavy fighters and shit. Getting close to a Xi'an looks relatively easy, assuming they find a way to make vertical multicrew vehicles work properly.
>>137063693
just look at the size of the thing that will tell you that "agile when empty" was never a possibility in a Chris Roberts game. If it doesn't resemble a fighter plane or is some alien construction it will NOT be agile.

This is now my new hope for the game. It would require that CIG have some way of giving alien ships to other people, and a way to store them at a org hangar or something so they don't be stolen.
Or just keep it at your own base and run an amusement park for people to pay UEC to get into the hangar. That's a constant stream of credits.

Can vouch for the technical issues, some of the things I’ve heard have been terrible from the programming / engineering side. Some I’ve heard has been over the last month or so from people looking for jobs from CIG they applied at my place of work. We are already seeing the negativity at being associated with a failed project as we did not hire any who had applied. Trouble is because they failed to fix the underlying platform wide issues they now have a severe technical debt. Their engine is practically kaput as no one knows exactly what does what as the experienced staff have already left and no one has full documentation. I was skeptical of various things I had been told about the UK office (more so some than others), I did not think some were physically possible to break Cryengine in so many “wonderful” ways to cause some of the issues they are seeing. The engine is I understand it is layers and layers of tentacles stacked on top of each other as part of “features” added into the engine but no one has looked at how they all work together – assume it’s a complete mess similar to their server and architecture components. To make matters confusing they refer to certain features as modules of the engine and refer to features-of-features also as modules code side. Some things I couldn’t verify or refuse to believe were: Refactor is a keyword within CIG to mean looking at the code, sorry that’s not the word means and having difficulty believing it Parts of the modified engine have no documentation as to how it interacts with the base of the engine or the API to how a client interacts with a server and vice versa Some branches only compile successfully on certain dev machines and they don’t know why
>>137104606
Their programmers or engineers usually have to trawl through code to find specific modules which have no standard naming convention There is no internal standard naming convention for features-of-features for modules Some underlying base code has changed so much some previously working assets and previously working code no longer works (had heard this is specifically to do with the FPS module), pretty much the two options were to either maintain two code bases or start again Some days some engineers are disheartened they fail to write any new code and “refactor” old code to maintain a CVS quota (which is apparently an arbitrary number based on commits per-line) Taking the above with massive pinches of salt it still looks bad, again they are applying for new jobs for a reason so some of it may likely be true but can’t validate it. I’m wondering to see if it matches what you or someone else has.

/scg/ has regularly discussed this issue and near unanimously agreed that Asian women are the prettiest race.
Please don't project your homosexual opinions on the rest of us. If you like to jack it to masculine features then that's on you.

>First MMO with real -RP-G potential in literally years.
>Playing a Female.
The fuck is wrong with you.
I waifu it up in the shitty themepark MMOs where you are never really in a position to establish a meaningful identity, but not something like this where you have one character and that character is you. If you are not RPing your ideal self in PU you are doing it very very wrong.
All women of every race has the potential to be beautiful.
Except Australian Aboriginals.
>>137115273
Bong here.
They took facial scans of women in the UK.That isn't a good sign
How can white "women" even compete?
>>137115148
>China
They're completly off the rails man. They give negative amount of fucks. I mean, no one would want to live in a country where the next escalator could (and pretty much will) eat you alive and shredder your whole body in front of your infant child.
They're a bunch of fucking crazies. If we post gooks, we usually refer to South Koreans or Japanese.
>>137115250
>liking asians = liking anime
Get your head out of your ass, Dad-gamer.
>>137115325
I find that with the Brits even though the vast majority of women aren't much to look at, several stand out even against the rest of the world.
>>137115473
Lying does you no good. We know your crimes.
>>137115348
Easily.
Cherry picking attractive asians and low tier westerners doesn't make you right.
Most Asian women look like trolls, most western women look like trolls too, Most humans looks like trolls. I ain't saying asian't can't be attractive but it's just down right ignorant of you to say all white women look terrible.
It's fucking 8 faces guys, calm the fuck down.
>>137115584
>>137115627
Their facial features are too masculine, their cheekbones are too jagged and their jaws are too square and defined.
>>137114686
>>137114884
>>137115662
The problem with african women, IMO is that the masculine and feminine facial structure is too interchangable. You can take the faces of african men and women and in the absence of other gender ques, you often cannot tell which is which.
>>137115873
Something never said of asian ladyboys, right? :^^^^)
>>137115786
You're either asian yourself and therefore biased, or a giant weeb and therefore biased. Saying that one is better than the other and one is always unattractive because it doesn't have the same features as the other is pure opinion. Your opinion, which is in no way any sort of authority on the matter. If Asians are so superior, why is it that white women are sought as trophy wives the world over. Why is it that literally every global ethnicity seeks to get into the pants of white women?
>>137115943
I am not the weeaboo, just registering my opinion.
I think everyone agrees that asian men in general possess the lowest masculinity. I mean shit most of em cant even grow any sort of respectable facial hair.
>>137116210
Mongolians are the manliest of all the world's men strangely.
>>137116132
the manface on the left is a middle aged naval officer, she's not meant to be pretty you dingus, that's like saying you grandmother is less attractive than your 19 year old GF, no shit.
He's an earthshattering concept for you, westerners are ok with women existing without being terribly attractive. We have abandoned the nothin that looks and sexuality area womans only valuable commodities.
We can have both attractive and not attractive women in games and also in real life. Asian vidya girls are always designed to be cute because that is their primary reason for being in the game, to be eye candy, just like in real life asians treat women as either attractive young eye candy or as worthless shit. This is a difference between the west and the east, cry about it, if this idea is simply too much for your virgin brain to process, go a play a weeb space sim, oh wait, those don't exist because weeb games are all about eye candy and titties and only rarely include any kind of engaging gameplay.
>>137116286
Yeah but that's mongolians, they're like Asias germannics. Hard men from the cold north.

Which is forgivable, but this one had Chris.

This entire thing is over some youtuber reading INN's transcript which they wrote wrong.

>>137036190
I bought the bare minimum starter package and only played like... once? maybe twice? when 2.0 came out, so I'm mostly talking out my ass. But it seems like ships, even the bigger ones, get destroyed much too quickly for any of this emergent "run around and fix the hull!" gameplay they keep sporting for. Once someone's able to take down your shields and lock a missile on to you, assuming you don't dodge it, you're pretty much done for There will be no time to run around playing FTL by putting out fires/repairing systems/ect. Am I missing something?
>>137121192
You're totally right that it was the case when 2.0 first went out. Multicrew ships got blown the fuck out pretty quickly by even light fighters, but they're a lot tougher now.
However, currently the damage model is pretty placeholder. Everything just has a "cockpit" and "body" HP value, and once thats burnt through you're dead. Eventually you're going to have to actually hit components if you want people to die like that, and damage itself will be calculated differently.
Theres also the fact that armor is largely unimplemented.
But yes, if things continue the way they are, you're largely fine one minute and spinning out of control borderline dead the next.
Is there like a spreadsheet of weapon data hiding somewhere?
I'm trying to play with loadouts but having to rent weapons to find out stuff like velocity is killing me.

Hasn't changed that much, to my knowledge.
Missiles have.
Reminder that lightning-fag literally masturbates to the assemblages of plastic and silicon implants that inhabit areas such as the "face", "tits", "ass", etc. of the liposuctioned skin-bags we generously call "Asians".
>>137125935
Fact: Pretty much any attractive female in an Eastern made video game has Asian features. Both facially, and their body. So it makes no sense when people on here try to act racist and post nonsense photos of asian women with no makeup or bad surgery, as if that somehow makes this fact any less true.
Asian women are attractive, white women are not, deal with it.
No way you can be a true gamer after all these years and not find Asian women the most beautiful, you gotta be some CoD newfag.

CIG has marketing?
>>137139431
amazing, I never knew CIG was run by Lex Luthor. Thanks for the believable information, anon

Anon, there's more fat white women than asian women. I don't understand why you're so upset. I'm just giving you some advice. If you already married a fatty, then you have my condolences.

It's probably a retarded question but whatever, haven't played in ages. How do you properly take-off? Just go forward and up, or can you switch to some harrier-like hovering mode?
>>137158167
you're in space... just fly upwards

and I did. But I was so focused on finding "takeoff mode" or "vertical mode" or something along those lines I missed the obvious.

I wonder what they picked up for Ben
He's gotta be putting away a ton of shit to maintain that bodyweight.

>man that is one ugly nigger
You need to be more specific, anon :^)
>>137174589
this picture is inaccurate because they should all be wearing fursuits, especially KWA
Hey guys, I'm a newbro and I was thinking about but Star Citizen, but I watched Chris' video a day or so ago and he said that they aren't working on the flight game they have anymore because they want to rework the back end again or something.
Is this game actually worth buying because it's been in development for 5 years and it doesn't look like they have much to show.
>>137179865
Not really.
Why does it feel like everything accomplished pre-ATV was trashed
>>137179865
>aren't working on the game anymore
>5 years
>not much to show
How's it going, Derek? Got any plans for April Fools yet?
>>137180828
Why's that? Thanks for being honest though.
>>137181018
>wtf are u talkin bout m8
>>137181347
Because for 40 dollars, you'd be getting a glorified dogfighter simulator with vanduul waves, a racer game mode nobody plays anymore, a "pve, open-world sandbox" where rarely you get to meet players and there's little to nothing to do other than grief.
>>137179865
Well baited, crafted to appear to be a curious newcomer, but the proper trigger words are used to illicit a reaction 8/10.
Coming back from a ~8 month break and it appears the lead/lag pips are still utterly broken.
Shame that.
See you guys in another couple of months, when this is worth playing
>>137181697
Ahh I see, thanks then.
>>137184114
I have no idea what you are talking about, but between you and >>137181018 there seems to be some pretty intense paranoia in this thread.

>>137185725
Damn, I knew I should have gotten a M50
>>137186192
CIG hasn't enforced XML checking ever, and continues not to do so.
There is even a user friendly tool to equip anything to anything, which is why Sabres are flying around with M6As larger than their hardpoints and you can pretty much do whatever you like, including shields/reactors too big for your ship.

Vanguard and Freelancer actually have a HUD in the new PTU.
>>137191457
They should have reconfigured the displays so the center one was large enough to read.
>>137192962
To be fair, everything you need is in the helmet hud. If you want to do something more detailed like change fire groups or arm a certain type of missile (there's a new HUD tab for that, just doesn't work yet) you have to focus on the screen instead of whatever you were doing. Personally I think it's somewhat acceptable, but just having bigger screens in the Sabre/Vanguard would be nice as well.
Is the Vanguard a viable fighter?
>>137193389
No, it's an overpriced, undergunned meme ship that consists of a Sabre cockpit strapped to an unholy amalgamation of Retaliator parts.tfw I managed to secure a free Vanguard->happy merchantman upgrade before the inevitable price increase
>>137193983
I unfortunately used my unmelt token and am stuck with it for the time being, personally.
Can't get along with it, but to be fair its only been flyable while the flight model has been garbage.
