robo scorpian bodies(plus tail) would take up the same slot as mr handy thruster, with legs taking up thruster arm slots, and other bodys can be placed on top like so(with an option for no body at all)

I'm trying to learn about the CK now but I was wondering if the (keywords/categories?) for spells and magic effects are not present in FO4 or not available in the GECK will it be impossible to create spells?

This is not a mod, but a little guide to help you turn off the fake character light, so all of the NPCs, Enemies and the Player, don't "glow" in the dark anymore.

The fake lights in the vanilla game, helps the characters to be easily distinguishable from the background, but most of the time the effect is really odd and too strong for my taste.
In exterior it is less noticeable, and it make more sense because it can be interpreted as a kind of skylight, even at night.
But in the interiors, and dark areas, all the characters (and dead bodies) are "glowing" and feels completely out of the scenery, and it can break the immersion a little.

If like me, you want to try to play fallout 4 without this lighting trick, this is how to disable it :

-1) If you want to test the game with and without the fake character lights, simply type "cl off" in the console. Type "cl on" to turn it back on.

-2) And to make it off by default, simply add the line "sStartingConsoleCommand=cl off" under "General" in your "Fallout4.ini". (it will type it for you in the console each time you launch the game, so you'll don't have to bother)

-3) It is also possible to adjust the strength of the effect, instead of completely removing it, by using the "cl rim" console command. (thanks lordjb for the info !)
Default is "cl rim 0.02", but you can set it to "cl rim 0.002" to make it more subtle.
Play with the value as you like, between "cl rim 1" (ultra bright), and "cl rim 0.001 (almost invisible)
And of course, once you've got the perfect settings, type "sStartingConsoleCommand=cl rim X.XXXXX" under "General" in your "Fallout4.ini" and replace the X.XXXXXX with the value of your choice.

Has anyone else made a robot salvage operation yet? I gave up on my first one too quickly.

I don't know if its really that efficient or not since each robot costs 11 aluminum, and a plethora of other materials to make. So if it takes one in-game hour for a 40 robot sweatshop to make enough materials to make 1 robot, I'd have to play for 40 hours just to get my investment back.

I enjoyed Fallout 3, but after playing Skyrim to death I was kind of hoping Bethesda would update their engine instead of giving the ancient thing a face lift before throwing it out there for another round.

Skyrim, at least, had graphics which were pretty fucking stunning for the time it was released. Fallout 4 by contrast, especially on the heels of the Witcher 3, looked dated even before it was released and was rife with the unnecessarily buggy and stilted gameplay characteristic of the Gamebryo engine.

Then there's the dialog wheel, the gutted RPG mechanics, the terrible game pacing... Overall it seemed an extremely mediocre game installment for literally their longest development cycle yet.

That being said: Far Harbour looks enticing to me considering that there are no open-world games with Cthulhu Mythos settings.

I'm just not sure if buying the game because of a single expansion would be worth it though, especially in the context of my reluctance to support a company that seems to be becoming complacent with its game development.

But I don't know if its that efficient or not. I tested this with 40 something bare Protectrons, they generated like 11 aluminum in an hour. And a ton of other shit. I heard an anon say if you tag materials they'll search for those specific materials, so I guess I could try that, but damn it was a pain setting up that sweatshop.

Robo provisioners proved to be VERY fucking useful though, I finally used them to link all of the settlements. Now every settlement has defense, water, and food. Even Mechanist lair, its kinda funny watching a Brahmin walk through the Robobrain facility with its Sentry provisioner, and seeing the congregation of 31 robots and their 31 brahmins every now and then at the hub I made.

So I heard that the survival overhaul is going into steam beta sometime next week. The question is, do I fuck around with automatron now or do I wait until I can create my new character under the new survival mode? I will not change the difficulty after leaving the vault for the first time on any character, and I consider this overhaul to be a new difficulty.
