If you want weapons, do 61-65 Oceanids. It's got the better "rare" stages but the weapons are 10* and you have to kinda just pick 5 at random and hope you get lucky with untekking. Either way you'll still be farming chrome for his spawns a lot, most of the time.
For units, do 46-50 Tundra. Drop units, but it's almost entirely dependent on the Chrome part, and it's easier to tell if the units have a good slot count or not.

titan now places physical debuffs on the tank he's attacking forcing tank swaps ( you can solo tank him now even with ilvl sync with proper cd management with inflated gear levels though.)
adds in final phase that drops slowing pools that cover around a fourth (to potentially half if your party messes up) of what remains of the stage that are basically a death sentence if titan uses landslide while you are standing in one
dps check in the final phase when he drops bomb boulders that cover the entire arena simultaneously forcing you to dps one down quickly before it explodes.

raiding just feels like me sitting around listening to people say "oh my bad i thought you were getting that" or "what i thought i dodged that aoe" while i go through the same motions over and over again. maybe if i was a progression raider figuring out the fights as I go with my group it'd be more fun, but following the strategies made by other groups isn't a particularly intense experience

Pick an attack and roll with it so either t/r/s atk.
Always have Shifta and Resta on hotbar maybe Zanverse too.
You'll mostly use Torim with everything, Sari is decent in TD because Territory is fucking absurd at times.
Wanda is something to use when anything dies.
Feeds your pets eggs and exp to make it do more damage,

You can put more into Point Assist but it only reduces cd and last longer so it's not that huge but you'll have su cubes to do that anyway.

Returning player here. It's been so long though that I might as well be a complete new player.
I've been combing the archives, reading the OP guides, and googling as best I can to try and find out as much as I can about starting up a techer but now I feel I should just come out and ask. I'm mostly wondering about class combinations and I support general playstyle.
The techer guide I was reading was last updated almost a year ago so I don't know how relevant it is now.
From the archives it sounds like Te/Hu is just good for mobbing? Are they any good against bosses? I have a spear fetish so I was leaning towards /Hu but if all I'm going to be doing is rounding up targets I'd have to rethink that.
I saw someone say bow /Br is expensive as shit but is it worth the investment? I'd prefer melee but bows are cool enough to me that if they're the optimal choice I'd play them. Sounds like they're pretty great against bosses from the archive.
I haven't seen anyone talk about the katana side of playing /Br though so I don't know what to expect about that.
/Fo (and Fo/Te) I can't even get a read on. Some people laugh at it while others seem to swear by it. Is it the most support-y option? Is it total shit or what? I have no idea.
Is /Bo just a total joke?

People usually don't choose te/br as their first class. Te/br chooses you if the game decides to drop that bow for you. Even so, I find this class combo very niche as you need to mostly rely on unique and weird equipment for bossing.

This game doesn't rely on your basic tank/dps/support meta. It's all about the dps,nothing else matters.
This is of course, if you're looking to be effective. Most people, including me, are playing it for the social/barbie aspect. Gear comes with time.
So if your heart tells you to play something, by all means, do it. The content is a joke in terms of difficulty anyway, and you can get by with less than stellar gear. But just keep in mind you need to focus on damage above everything else (PP is also part of damage, as it allows you to use more PAs/techniques

It's the only PA in the game that requires you to press one button to teleport behind an enemy and then one directional key to deal a fuckton of damage. All of this for 10 PP the teleport and another 10 to deal damage.No other PAs are this dumb.
Guren keeps you moving and makes you hard to hit, hits many enemies at once generally, deals sakura-endo tier damage and can also be used as the best and cheapest (in terms of PP) dashing move.
The only other damage skill in the game that requires no aiming or positioning is arguably moment gale, but it can't dash, the damage is shit and you are extremely vulnerable while using it.
Playing br/hu means you've picked the best and easiest class in the game as the game will give you access to the God of PAs, invincibility (automate) and no enemy will even be able to flinch you as you spam guren or banish+kamikaze arrow during Massive Hunter's duration. You just need to lock onto a weak point when using a bow

TE sounds like it might be perfect, you definitively should give it a try at least, and don't worry about focusing on one sub or the other because if you like and enjoy the class you can, and should, switch accordingly to whatever you're fighting against. Gear wise they all are similar, sort of.
On UQ and to a lesser extent XH EQ TE/HU is king, TE/BR can handle himself around too, former is more melee "crowd control" oriented, later is more about casting/burst damage without losing the edge on melee. Outside of that, TE/BR gets the edge because of its versatility, TE/HU can be a pain vs bosses, in comparison at least.
On big big MPA bosses you can drop all that, switch to a "full support" build and be the guy potentially contributing more damage to most MPAs (kind of), or be the biggest dead weight in it. Really effective in organized groups, completely random effectiveness in pub play.
Granted, gearing properly can be a pain, but trust me it's not nearly as hard as it used to be.

Generally fo/te is the one giving people buffs and healing. Te main may have stronger buffs I think, but almost everybody will prefer a really high dps over some heals. It's just the way the game's designed.
There is a level of supporting indeed, but it's done by certain dps classed and not a class centered around supporting.

Especially in UQ and stuff where there's a lot of mobs, I find it best to just spam Guren as it generally teleports you next to the targets and then slashes in a very wide range for almost Sakura Endo damage.
I don't use a katana for bossing though, as bow is 10x more effective in that situation, but I see how Guren might suck in that situation.
If you're having trouble managing guren on mobs you're probably either playing on pad, using weak stance and trying to hit weak points, or playing fi/br where you need to hit enemies from either front or behind. I can't understand how a person can have trouble with a "press right click while looking at an enemy" PA (Guren even tracks down the enemy for you even if you're not looking exactly at it anyway)

First, assume by gunners you meant rangers
Second, let's take Rangers for example. You have to aim all of your PAs in such way that it will hit a weak point hard. You also have to keep in mind that all of your charged PAs keep you in place for a long ammount of time and it's hard to interrupt them and dodge. Dodging is hard anyway.
Forces also have to aim all of their techs right, such as foie with TPS view, techs with very different ranges and behaviours from one another. Talises are tricky too

First step of affixing: decide what you want on your affix. Lets say you want 115/6 melee. You know it requires mod, flict, power 3, and heary soul. Then you split it up, how do you go about it in the most tpractical fashion? You do this:
target: beary/power3/x
fodder 1: vol(quartz/gwana etc.)/power3/x
fodder 2: soul receptor/x/x
fodder 3: mod/flict/x
fodder 4: mod/flict/x
fodder 5: mod/flict/x
So now you know what you need, how do you go about that?
mod/flict/x: you buy 3 2s mods, 3 2s flicts, and then smash them together with either a 10% or a 30% for 78/78/95 or 98/98/100. If you want to make it much cheaper, you buy 3 1s mods or flicts (probably flicts), and then force an upslot on a sub/add(thing)a unit, since those are t he cheapest thing to upslot on, only costing 6k for 5 fodder. Do this 3 times, bam, that's your modflict done.
Vol/power3/x: Can either buy premade or upslot, either way it's a simple fodder to get.
soul receptor/x/x: self explanatory.
beary/power3/x: This might seem like a slightly harder one, but it's the same as the vol/power3 one: you just upslot it from 2s with power3 or beary soul on the target, a soul receptor, and either the power3 or beary soul (whichever you need) as the other fodder.
Bam, you have all your fodder prepared, and now you can toss it all together with a 30% if you feel cheap or 40% if you're wanting something a tad safer.
That's one of the easiest ones, I actually consider modflict to be easier than vincflict.

The 5 dex is irrelevant, the soul gives 35 attack/3pp, which beats quartz' 30/3. "What's better over touou soul?" Well for starters it can be transferred with soul receptor at 100% probability, while touou caps at 70 through normal creation, and only 50% with a soul receptor. Touou is only realistically useful if you either aren't upslotting, are only doing 4s, or are going for r-atk.
You shouldn't even bother going for the UQ stone trades, they're pretty much completely worthless. 250 stones for a 15 element weapon, when austere only requires 50 of each stone for a 30 ele.

Short answer: Kind of.
Longer answer: This game is fairly punishing to a solo player. Some EQs are not viable without 12 people. If you are soloing a boss in a free field and he happens to kill you, you just failed the quest. Leveling will also be slower without a party as you get exp multipliers for each person in the party.

Not everything is 100% translated. The important things like quest names and what you need to go kill is. Quest descriptions and the like are not translated. You can play 100% fine using the english patch.
