All you need from her is the schematics to get in and around the Mechanist's base. After that she is essentially just a settler. I'm sure if you console command in the ability to build the part she gives you, you could just skip building her a body.

The robots actually shrink and grow depending on their job and the location they're in. It's kind of funny to see. Set up a scavenging station in a small room and assign a robot with sentry legs to it.

How do you hack a robot with the robotics expert perk?
Do you need to sneak up on it?
So is Automatron worth it? For pass holders, would it be worth it if you didn't have the pass?
Can you take a Robot with you in addition to a companion or do you have to make a choice?
Also, do robots count as companions or are they like dogmeat in that you can have one along and still be considered "solo" for qualifying perks?

I'm wondering what's going to happen to robot companions when they're badly damaged in Automatron, as unlike the other robot companions bar Ada and Jezebel you can initiate their self destruct feature which will kill them. Tip for people that don't know, if you look down your sights, you can activate robot hacking remotely. Turn off/control all those nasty bots from afar.

Robot armor from the new Rust Devils is pretty good.
The vault suit looks fine with it, but I guess you could also try the synth uniform.

I have uninstalled and then reinstalled fallout 4. Went through everything. I even tried restarting the dlc. I STILL get fucked when I try to complete quests in the DLC that require me to either modify or create a robot.
Namely:
When I try to complete the quest where you have add the radar part to ada:
It doesn't complete the quest.
When I try to complete the quest the requires you to build jezebel:
It builds a random automatron-XXX and not jezebel, even when I'm using the head.
The only thing I can think of is one of my perks is causing a bug. I'm level 107 (yes, that high) and it's gotta be ONE of them.
But which one?
Or maybe it's a few of them working in conjunction?
That's the only explanation I can think of.

When putting the radar parts on ada, you have to talk to her afterwards. It glitched for me too. Sometimes it was the tlaking, other times I just had to modify her entire body, leave the thing then put it on and talk to her.
