Desync was the only thing making the game hard.
They fixed it but didn't adapt the game difficulty, so now we can reach lvl 95 in less than a week and there's less deaths.
The awakening didn't erase all the bad decisions GGG made before it, they were still in the game, that's why i gave it a "meh".

Difficulty in these games come in 3 different ways.
1: game knowledge
2: reaction tests
3: raw numbers
Option 1 is the interesting part and players who play a lot will find less and less challenge from it no matter what the devs do.
Option 2 is less interesting, but still a viable way of making players feel challenged. This really defeats the point of all the gear farming and build planning etc though.
Option 3 is the one D3 went with and it's imo the most boring option. If I wanted this I'd play D3.
So this leaves us with reaction tests, which are fine in small numbers like in labyrinth. And game knowledge tests which will feel less and less difficult when you play a lot.

The bigger problem is they seemed to have decreased the distance you can leap, and if you aim too far away or don't shift click you wont jump which can leave you standing there like an idiot if you use it as an escape.

I have my shift key nailed down with my pinky whenever I'm not chilling in my hideout. It used to prevent desync. Now I guess it prevents clunky controls.
If it's that much of a bother setup a macro to toggle shift. Unless you use a melee skill that requires a target like Frost Blades there is no reason to not shift-click every skill.

Cleave is what I used. Doesn't require a target and has no attack speed penalty so it's not clunky in the slightest. It even can use the same colors and links as Sunder.
Only had to have single target for Atziri to avoid her Mirror form in the Split Phase. Sunder does plenty enough damage on it's own.

How about using any of the possible frenzy charge generation and saving yourself the 3 jewel slots (can in total be 21% hp and 75% dmg), and just be at max frenzy charges from the first pack onwards.
