My Sunshine plantation gives me 100 food atm and isn't even half capacity so I don't ever need crops but I've got no idea what to put here. Nah, they're basically these things you can craft at settlements, they cost 6 power to make, have a computer on their station, and you can tell them to look for very specific objects, VERY specific, you can ask them to lead you to teddy bears, and they'll lead you to a container somewhere filled with teddy bears. But I dunno actually how much is in the container, no one really said how efficient they are.
At first, I thought they'd go out and bring back stuff, which would have been a lot cooler, but I guess for junk generation, a lot of Protectrons on salvage stations would work, too.
But yeah no customisable following Eyebots...I'm sure that will be a mod. I also hope this Beta is just unfinished, because I want to see Mr Gutsy voices.

The story is pretty all over the place. It's focusing heavily on a standard NCR vs Legion setup, fighting over some kind of biological weapon, but it's much more focused on straight-up action than making an interesting story. The whole thing reads like a Modern Warfare script for the most part.

The combat is pretty okay, but the whole thing feels like it's been lifted from any generic military FPS, rather than a Fallout game. There are bits of Frontier that seem interesting and fun, but it's missing all the central themes of what makes the Fallout games great - moving on from the old world, dark humor and interestingly complex factions/characters.

They're composing a lot of music from what I saw, but they're sticking within the assets they can source legally. Considering it's a mod, they've got a bit more freedom than if they were going to paywall it.
It's the same problem that Project Brazil had - nice idea, but massively over-produced. It's why I've always considered someguy2000 to be a great modder, because most of his stuff is pretty well balanced between action and story, with reasonably rounded-out characters. Puce Moose is also another amazing modder, but more focused on storytelling over action.

Basically the chip lets you gain control of an army of robots and upgrades the ones in New Vegas. House wants it for that reason but Benny steals it from you when you're trying to deliver it.
If you get with Yes Man you have the option of giving the chip to House or killing/disabling him and using Yes Man to take control of Vegas for yourself.
You can then choose what tribes or groups to side with or destroy.

Most skills were only affected at certain points anyway, most notably things like science and lock pick 25, 50, 75, 100. That's really no different than them being locked behind 4 perk points isn't it?
My number 1 beef with 4 in terms of an rpg is with the legendaries. Not so much that they shouldn't exist, but because they completely and utterly ruined the explorative looting aspect of the games. Where's my chance to get through a problem with something other than charisma like my knowledge of guns or medicine? Where's my Grunt perk which gives me a damage bonus in a specific set of weapons so I can specialise instead of just an across the board "all automatic weapons" perk? I could roleplay in NV without minmaxing, I could throw points into repair and then be rewarded for it because when a point came up in conversation like "shit, how does this contraption work" I could come back at it with some knowledge on the subject because of my repair skill. On my first playthrough, I like to think my Courier (named "Drifter", actually) was a random merc who, after fucking up with his bosses wife, and ruining a lot of jobs, decided to become a messenger out of desperation. He also had little to no knowledge about politics/Mojave history until up to that point.
Was fun.
My first playthrough in Fallout 4.. my character was a lot more badass though. He was an ex-military man who married a cutie girl with a law degree, and after rejecting the nuclear paranoia, managed to get inside one of the vaults. He also had extensive knowledge from robotics to hacking complex terminals and learned them all in under a few months. He was also the peak of physical condition, level 387, a super human.

Are Laser Muskets actually good? When I started playing FO4 I used them a lot because they looked cool, but after I ran out of ammo I switched to something else. When I tried to use one again with rank 4 Science and Gun Nut mods it felt weak compared to other weapons I had at the moment, which were all other types of non-automatic rifles. Like, what's the sweet spot where Laser Musket are strong and you have sufficient amount of ammo for them?
