She gives Rouge a foil to play off of, giving her antics better contrast and impact, and works well as a partner and contact with the goverment. They're not suitable for running around in at all. I've owned two pairs (Scab Greys and a pair of Boltar Rusts), about ten, twelve years ago, and they take some getting used to even walking in them decently.
The grind plate locks the arch of the foot flat so it can't flex or bend, which forces you to walk flat-footed instead of toe-to-heel as is natural. Once you've gotten walking down you *can* run, but you pretty much have to literally run by pushing off from the balls of your feet instead of, again, heel-to-toe as you'd naturally do. That said, grinding on them IS a whole load of fun, and you start to see even basic every-day things like a handrail or a park bench as another target to slide on. They're certainly fun for that, but I wouldn't rate them very well for daily wear.
