I've never had any trouble with the bed of chaos. The timing on phase 3 is a bit tricky, but there's a ledge you can drop off of so you don't even need to jump. It's a fairly simple fight.

I finished probably my final playthrough of DaS2 and tried good old Sword and Board. I completely forgot how effective blocking with 100% shields were. Because of a bad experience with a shitty shield during my first playthrough I only ever used them for stamina regen or a buckler type shield for parrying.

Those enemies died in 1-2 hits of a +2 longsword in the demo build that had its difficulty greatly reduced for the purpose of demonstration.
The final build, which that webm is from, is one where that same longsword takes 3-4 hits to kill those enemies. This is an unupgraded lucerne 1-shotting them.

DaS2 had good attack hitboxes (webms posted of attacks whiffing past the player's fucking ear a couple of threads ago), it just has terrible roll hurtboxes because they linger behind the player unless you have a specific threshold of ADP. The hitboxes never feel fucked up if you don't roll.

I recently discovered that wearing armor you don't have the stats for (like mage gear without int/fth) actually impacts your roll. The animation changes, your roll distance goes down (even if your total % is lower) and your iframes get all fucky like you have sub-90 agi.
