If you're not comfortable with not hitting the 6s but have a healthy chunk of fusings, go until you hit a 5l and then judge from there, there's very few builds where a 6l is leagues better than a 5l, if you've got at least 100 fus, it's perfectly ok to attempt a 6l, with the thought to stop at a 5l if you hit it. My first 6l was an infernal mantle, I hit the 6s in 13 jorbs and 6l in like 15 fusings, sometimes the rng just lines up. I also slammed a few hundred fusings into a daresso's defiance that never hit a 5l. Whatever you do make sure you 20q it, due to the quality/fusing interaction changes.
