What probably happened was that /v/ was at some point DDoS'd/spammed by a large number of IPs from your ISP and has since blocked everyone from said ISP posting on /v/. Provided /v/'s server is separate from other 4chan board servers. I'm guessing you have a problem with more than 1 board. Do you have the same ISP at home as at work?

My neighbour uses Unitymedia and he has the same problems as my friend who uses gelsennet but it's a bit crazier for him because he has everything from Unitymedia, TV, phone and internet and it's all connected so if one breaks down, all of it is down.
They're also pretty retarded. my parents used it until 5 years ago and switched to something else, but with their old receiver they can still get all expanded Unitymedia channels from the landline because they forgot to chop the line or something, their neighbours as well.
and I get 50 mbit and could probably upgrade to 100 if I wanted to, but neither my brother nor I have looked into it any more since we got the 50mbit package. LTE is pretty nifty and I don't really have any problems with it, it's just that area ban that bugs me.
I think we could upgrade to 100mbit DSL but with every package change there is a risk that someone at the telekom notices that my brother doesn't work for them any more and then we'd have to pay full price.
i wish i could tell when people on the ship actually wanted to talk so i dont have to spend 15 minutes running around the ship looking for people and spamming space in case i miss out on a conversation after every single mission
