Well, presumably self-insert-kin loves Neptune for who she is, and Neptune loves him the way he is. Supposedly this self-insert has a big sense of self-identity, what with him going on about pride and whatnot all the time, and therefore he finds it necessary to preserve his distinct sense of self by leaving Neptune for a bit.

I think Serious Sam 3 : BFE has some Neptunia skins and allow coop gameplay, but I never tried it online.
Otherwise there's Chilvary : Medieval Warfare, but it isn't coop.
As far as coop goes, I'd like to recommend AI War, but it's a RTS and it's really peculiar.
Civ V has pretty comprehensive Nep civs, but is a nightmare for multiplayer.
There's UT2004 that has Nep models, and 2004 is a ton of fun and can be played against bots.
