because the japs have always been incredibly primitive and barbaric compared to most other cultures, they were still fighting with sharp sticks and on dingy boats when Moortuguese got there, and a long as time later when the burgers got there again they were STILL fighting with sharp sticks and ancient matchlocks that they got from the portuguese

If youre in total war mode 20k a turn is fine, build up food/sanitation first then focus on income while protecting your borders, try to keep 1 border safe with diplomacy, I allied with the huns for example, had 2 big armies protect the balkans, 1 big army in edessa incase the sassies wanted to make trouble and I was smoking out the Arabs with 1 elite army.
I still made 20k a turn which I used to build up, make sure you build up safe zones first, like egypt or the greek islands.

Japanese are just obsessed with the reactionary and what works.

Their Katanas are a millenium old design while europe kept developing their swords

Their monarchy is from 600 something BC

Even after import of western ideas their country has been deadlocked in the exact same western style conservatism and conduct since WW2, only the constitution is keeping their monkey business under control.

They even still have the fanatic love of suicide going.

I think their most impressive advance was that they started hanging themselves instead of decapitating each others.

well I once in a legendary campaign lost both Flavius and Stilicho in battle on the same turn, a woman with very little influence became a regent, which made a governor and a general rebel, loosing a battle against the rebels gave further -2 loyalty hit (-1 for civil war -1 for losing to rebels) and one more general and one governor rebelled and took most of northern Gaul and Africa with them

so yeah, never make your ruler a general, give him a cozy governance job

Bro it really is pretty easy
Exactly do what i tell you to
EXACTLY what i tell you or it fucks up

You first have to contact the steam support
Once that is achieved you wait for a reply
Usually it takes 1-2 days max
Really depends on what you tell them what your issue is, threat them with chargeback
Steam will usually get cold feet at that point
Economy-driven thats what they are
Long story short, steam will contact their support and demand a key for you, there is no other way since you only borrow games from steam
Fucking annoying I had to do the same.

Now read the first letter of every sentence.

I think I read something that in the medieval if you wanted to employ an untrained peasant crossbowmen you had to pay 80 pennies for his equipment and the soldier would earn 2 pennies a month.
So go figure how much the average peasant could afford for himself.
>>
>>135587983
how would you live off of 2 coins per month? does it divide into smaller pieces? i can't possibly imagine you spend one coin at the start of the month on enough food to feed yourself for 15 days and then the other coin later.

Found some info, a penny of that time is appareantly 1.5 grams of silver

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penny_(English_coin)

Coincidentally, this penny was introduced by our dear friend Offa, which makes this very relevant to Charlemagne campaign.

It says that Canute paid his army 20 million pennies, which leads me to think each soldier earned significantly more than 2 pennies per month.

>>135588123
In the american civil war the families of the southern states would give their sons a goodluck penny to wear around their neck.

For good luck and incase they got lost for food and water.
Back then the people were that poor.
In the US slaves would get bought and sold for 3-5 bucks, if you take that into consideration 2 pennies in the medieval doesnt seem that far off.
>>
>>135588414
I went and did some research, civil war prviated on the confederate side made 11$ per month, this subdivides into 100 pennies per dollar. So a confederate private would earn 1100 pennies per month.

>>135588326
Depends, a cavalrist or Swordsman will get more than a levied crossbowmen, and I think in the medieval they actually got poorer again.
But yea the coins were usually made of gold/silver.
I think at that point it was worth it to actually fake metal coins, if coins were made out of metal, if you found gold you wouldnt bring it to the smith telling him to make you coins out of it obviously, with metal you could.

I remember back in the good old days when there was no cap on corruption in Attila. You could have something like 95% in WRE provinces which made many of your provinces worthless.

Yea, if you have the court building, and at the third rank its 15% and 15% in close provinces, I dont even have the tech for the second and the court building makes it unable to upgrade the markets etc.
I have no choice tho I guess, I wonder if I have 3 provinces close to each other with the anti corruption building if it will stack?

It depends on the era but almost across the board - yes. Very much so. There's debate and uncertainty as to the prevalence of armor but middle road fallacy aside it was probably in between the polarities of "Almost nobody but the richest had it" and "almost everybody but the poorest had it". Less wealthy and developed societies on a tribal line, like the migration era Germans, would possess far less mail than say their descendants will in 1000 AD.

From Ian Heath's Armies of Feudal Europe:
-start of 12th century mercenary knights were paid daily 6d (Denarii? Penny?), which rose to 1 shilling in 1173, 3-4s by Edward I and the 13th century.
-At the same time Sergeants and infantry only got 2d to 6d a day in 1196 (2-3d for infantry, 4d-6d for mounted sergeants), mounted crossbowmen got 7.5d or 1s 3d depending on if they had one or two horses.

If https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_livre and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_denier are correct then 1 livre = 20 sous or shilling, 1 sous/shilling being 12 pence (derniers/denarii). "Henry I had Count Robert of Flanders provide 1,000 knights in England or Normandy in exchange for 500 livre.

-1303 France a 'well armed warrior of gentle birth mounted on a horse (value of 50 livres), with coat of mail and coat of arms (barded armor) expected from each 500 livres of revenue (I.E. if you had 500 livres you needed to provide/pay for a warrior of that quality)
-1284 Azzize (edict/regulation by the crown) stated that sergeants of the abbey of Saint Maur de Fosses: Those with 60 livres or more had hauberk, helmet, sword and knife. Those with less than 30 livres had gambeson, sword and knife. Those with 10 livres or more had helmet, sword and knife. Those with less had bow, arrow and knife. All probably had shields/polearms/spears.

>>135592619
did they not introduce the corruption limit to AoC? they limited it to 60% in the grand campaign, also there is a building that lowers corruption in the province and all the adjacent ones, just build that, also use agents
>>
>>135593515
Remember you can convert the main chain building after you've built the corruption thing to upgrade markets and keep the benefits.
>>
>>135593595

>>135593546

Henry II of England's Assize of Arms in 1181 divided freemen military service into
-Those with a knight's fief or 16 marks of chattel or rents (to be equipped like a knight)
-Those with 10 marks of chattel or rent (hauberk, helmet, spear and presumably sidearms)
-Burghesses and freemen with less than 10 were to have quilted gambesons, iron helmet and spear.

Henry I apparently cited similar: £100 Angevin or £25 Sterling being a knight, 20-40 Angevin (5-10 sterling) being the middle class.

To contextualize it is more helpful to have a sense of more mundane items or property. From Osprey, the mid 8th century Laws of the Ripuarian Franks, states:

-Helmet, hauberk, sword, scabbard, leg armor, lance, shield and horse for a horseman's full equipment = 44 solidi.
A peasant's cow was worth 3 solidi. So you would need to sell 14 cows worth of property to afford all that. If it was just horse, shield, spear, then it might be as little as 14 solidi (12 of which is the horse).

But that is implying you are a self-made man funding it entirely by yourself. If you were a hanger-on, a follower, a companion to a notable then he would often pay for your equipment. Or shit you looted.
>>
>>135593546
>Henry I had Count Robert of Flanders provide 1,000 knights in England or Normandy in exchange for 500 livre.

>After a very busy couple of years making content for ROME II and ATTILA, and having most recently released Age of Charlemagne and the Slavic Nations, the New Content team has moved on to support WARHAMMER DLC and Free content. As we announced when we first revealed the game, Total War: WARHAMMER will be supported by a programme of free and paid for content alongside the three games that will make up this epic trilogy. The first of these will be the Chaos Warriors, who will arrive day one with the game and be free for anyone pre-ordering through select retailers. Otherwise the first major DLC expansion is taking up the majority of this team's time at the moment.

They don't need an extra month to finish the game, they're pushing the release date back to allow reviewers time to play the game and put out their thoughts.

They're basically trying to prevent another Rome 2 disaster - sure it had a lot of sales but it was a PR clusterfuck for CA, and one I'm sure they don't want to repeat. Giving reviewers a month to play it and present their thoughts gives us regular players a chance to read those thoughts and make an informed decision.

Every single undead unit causes fear. That's their trump card over everyone else's 'conventional' strengths. You unit of cheap-as-shit skeletons will stay in combat causing fear to all enemy units around them until every single last one of them are dead.
>>
>>135601327
Well what exactly would the devs do during that time if not working on the game? I'm pretty sure reviewers don't need to literally have their hands held while playing.

Their "morale" is different from everyone else. Once they hit the breakpoint they don't run away but instead crumble and die. I don't see why this is such a big deal to you? The whole thing is pretty bizarre given they claimed in november they'd given themselves a lot of time to polish the game already and picked April as a very conservative release date. Either they are scared shitless of a Rome II fiasco or they've somehow had major issues with a minor part of the game or bugs. They said they'd be working on the game in that month also but it could only be minor assets.

Leadership isn't used just for morale in Warhammer though you idiot.

Is 'skeletons have morale' gonna be the new hovelposting?

The newer TW titles have 80% of that aswell.

The Ultramarines movie?

It was absolutely awful lol.

Because the game is based directly upon it and its mechanics?

Maps all look pretty good so far to me. If they're not realistic geography that's because it's a fantasy game

All factions are not the same, they have more diversity than any previous total war game. Leadership is different than morale for VC faction

Maybe there's lots of DLC, we don't know yet because it's not even out yet

Bad combat system - citation needed. There's plenty of infantry that can survive cavalry charges.

We haven't seen sieges yet.

Magic is not broken

Regarding optimisation, 64bit, DX12 better than any TW game so far

Attila:

Bad map without real geography - check
all factions the same - check
shitton of DLC - check
Bad combat system (infantry with sword can survive after cavalry charge) - check
Casual sieges, where all what you need to do is deploy your troops/send them straight forward - check
Broken unit abilities like shield wall - check
Terrible optimisation - check.

Sounds like you shouldn't be here.
