It's worse to play on local serves when there's DDoS/network problems going on, because then you have to deal with jitter, e.g. sometimes low ping, sometimes high ping. having a constant high ping is better that a jittery connections.

Speaking of Vlads, I tried skipping Vlads and instead just got a basi ring. While it saves 1800 gold, you lose your ability to stay away from the fountain and farm after some skirmishes. The damage bonus is pretty minor as it ends up being a small amount per unit, the real bonus is the life steal, mana regen, and armor for the creeps that you push with (as you need none yourself).

DK is unkillable early because nobody has enough damage.
DK gets some items midgame and is still unkillable.
After that, the enemy team starts getting a couple big items and start putting out enough damage to kill DK.
DK comes back super late when he is six-slotted because now he has his unkillable status again. Item-wise he's on par or better than the enemy team so scales are evened out then tipped back into DK's favour.

Everytime I start right clicking someone they either run away or pop a bkb and laugh. Also I always win my lane, but I can't transition that into objectives cause he can't push like an Invoker or a WR.

One Zeus game, I was laning against old OD.
He trashed my cs.
Delayed my ult by a couple minutes.
And kept my mana dry until I got the Bottle with infinite Astrals.
He won the lane. He had more cs and denies than me by a large margin. I was already regretting picking Zeus because I thought the OD would only get stronger from there.
But it didn't matter because I ganked the sidelanes repeatedly while he worked on his first non-treads item in mid. Couldn't even push the tower by himself while I was gone. By the time he showed up to a fight I was at, I just set him packing because I already had lv 2 ult and a Blink Dagger from farming heroes.
At the end, his team was crying "gg noob mid no gang" and OD's defense was "i won the lane".
I hate using the phrase but having mid farm means that you are the one controlling the game's tempo. You maintain the map control and control how much help (or lack thereof) that your sidelanes get with their laning, farming, and also pushing. This is not me saying that mid has to gank, but I'm saying that if you're winning mid, you need to keep that advantage/momentum going. If you're losing, you need to turn it around and force the other mid's hand. The OD felt that he needed more farm than helping his teammates and suffered for it while my team snowballed from INFINITE LIGHTNING.
Pros and high MMR players treat OD as a free win because they know how to use the level and farm advantage of an OD to their advantage and coordinate with their team in maintaining their domination.
If you actually won mid, then grab a good rune and just shitstomp a sidelane or two to assert your dominance. OD isn't an afk for an hour to become six-slotted carry like AM, he's a snowballing mid. Go out and snowball. If they're getting away too easily, get better positioning and talk to your team. If they're popping BKB before you could do shit, then damn you spent too long afk farming in mid.
Get a fast Atos or something. Sheesh.

Currently 3.6k MMR, rising slowly but surely (until he gets nerfed).
Played him in WC3 before the changes anyways and he was my favorite but this is so ridiculous.
Finally reached VHS in ranked - my normals are already VHS I calibrated earlier than I should've, would honestly be at about 4k if I played a bit more before calibrating but it's nice to see VHS ranked.
Anyways the key to a really good OD is having your buddy set up a kill in some way, whether it's baiting him and you Imprison saving them or a Batrider picking someone off for you since you have no disable with Sheepstick to get free hits, a solo-kill is very difficult unless you got have Sheepstick, or Ulti or a good Atos pick-off with the effective slow.
His changes are so fucking broken it's ridiculous.

I've been reported plenty of times, but never went to low pri except 2 times (in a row).
Here's how it works:
You can feed as MUCH AS YOU LIKE on purpose. It doesn't matter, the "intentional feeding" report button literally does nothing. I've had people feed from minute 1, and it still took over a month till they got low prio.
If you chat, your likelyhood of going low prio is much, much, much higher. Voice chat is substantially lower, but you might get more reports that way. One thing they are REALLY nazi about is SWEARS. If you use SWEARS, you will VERY QUICKLY be put in low prio. So don't swear, that's what causes you to go straight to low prio.
For ability abuse, I don't know how it works. Never saw anyone I reported get low prio because of it.
