They don't. Run berserking on generic bloodrush build and you'll never have less than +75% attack speed with War. It swings much faster than ordinary 1h swords not running berserking, plus heavy blades are immune to stuns and knockdowns and grapple ropes and other BS while swinging the heavy sword, even if you have enough attack speed to swing it several times per second.
War with Volt speed and/or Valkyr Warcry is where it's at though. Combined with berserking it's spamtastic. Tempo royale'd War volt can sprint around a whole map blendering every single enemy, combine with Naramon focus to als be invisible for 10 seconds every time you melee any enemy with your greater than 100% crit chance.

It's more common when unalerted but they do rarely whistle during active combat. So far I've heard Three blind mice and Are you sleeping, although the manic laughter is much much more common. I want to say the combat whistling is related to line of sight but that may be giving DE too much credit.

actually for soloing its almost equal to CP on bombards and heavy gunners. well, depending on how loosely you define "almost".
for groups you're probably better off using CP.
i use steel charge when soloing because gas takes care of everything that isnt in heavy armor. for the armored guys you just run up and stab them in the gut, which ignores armor anyway and scales with SC so you can oneshot them up to a higher level.

There's also a raid, but it involves standing on pressure plates and hoping the rest of your team doesn't fuck up, while having high levelled enemies thrown at you the whole time. There's nothing else to it because again, you're stuck using whatever weapons DE has allowed to be functional at that level. And once you get to the boss itself, he gets instantly-killed because weapon balance is so fucked.
Bosses can't exist without constant invincibility because like in the raid, they'd just be instantly killed.

To do vault runs at abre minimum you need tower keys in big qualities till you get the mods (you need msot of tehm to have things to experiment with), and thats not counting the crafted keys (you can just leech those)
To be able to grind you have to build up to it. i'm too lazy to count it, but just bulding time of shit to get to MR 6 takes a while, let alone farming the mats and starchart to get to them.
Forma buildtime is 1 day so 6 formaing shit takes 6 days bare minimum (again, sans jewing)
Then comes poatos that you cant even farm for, which makes them even more valuable to be wasted on experimenting.
And beginners dont have stockpiled keys, so farming primes is even more of a hassle so buying all that shit for plat takes a while too.
So realistically if you played a "more than normal" ammount of times a week starting recently, at best you can try out 1 guns potential a week on avarage.

it's exactly the opposite of diablo though. in diablo i can jump into any level rift i've unlocked. i can keep going higher in rifts until my character literally can't have enough stats to progress even with perfect play. no endless gems and paragons don't count, even im not autistic enough to grind those to a level at which they can replace gear upgrades. im not going to defend blizzard's balance but at least all the sets can perform at a level that you actually have to try to win.

Minmaxing is the art of maximizing your pump while minimizing your lost. You aren't maximizing your pump and getting around the energy loss with something like Arcane Energize. In other words, having max efficiency on every frame isn't minmaxing, it's just being afraid to run out of energy ever.
The same applies to a build like Saryn's, who, if you aren't using 45% efficiency on, you've probably established yourself as a horrible shitter who literally doesn't know dick about real minmaxing. There's no space on her build for efficiency mods to get the most out of her skills, where as other frames, like Mirage or Vauban, it's totally fine.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but Ember is no tank and no fucking mod will change that. That's okay though. You're not supposed to get hit at all with frames that can deal damage without aiming. The reason is that you have time to concentrate on your movement. So you can keep up moving fast, jumping fast. Since you mentioned sorties, those defensive mods don't do SHIT to make her stay alive. At best, they allow you an extra second you need when you make mistakes by either moving too slow, or going somewhere you shouldn't be in first place.
IF you happen to find yourself in a post DEAC mission that doesn't allow you to dodge bullets by being fast, and therefore creates the necessity to be invincible, you recruit yourself the literal god frame in your team who gives you invincibility for free, so that you can keep doing your job at your best.
