Trees and rocks are resources you can gather right away, so do that, but with starter tools, you won't get far.
Grass makes only sense to chop if you have a silo so let that grow a bit unless it's in the way. Weeds you can do, though.

The main thing about having lots of money isn't having infinite things to spend it on, but rather being able to buy anything you want in nearly any useful quantity you want, anywhere.
Granted the endgame does peter out sooner it than it really should. There's plenty to do up until the end of year two, at which point it's winding down, but in year three you have maybe the very few toughest achievements (all dishes, 15 of each crops, every fish), a quest or two, and some 10-star friendships left to do. Busywork, mainly.
But by that time you've played for about 70 hours, which is about right for this kind of game. It's just that it's so good you want to keep playing forever.

It really isn't. I've been growing whatever I want whenever I want and I have plenty of money. There's no time limit since you can get re-evaluated now. There's only like one or two events that can happen in the first year and not again, but other than that just play.
That being said, your farm looks comfy even if I think it's a little small. Don't forget a silo for hay for the winter, and use some common sense in what you grow.

FIX FOUND FOR COPPER PAN BUG
There's a bug where if you trigger two events in the same area at once, only one will actually happen. The other will still be considered as seen, but will never happen for that playthrough. This is especially egregious if it happens to be the event where you get the Copper Pan from Willy. If another event triggered on that same day, here is how you can fix this bug and get the cutscene:
1. Go to your saves folder. The directory should be C:\Users\[Whatever your username is]\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves\[Character name with a string of numbers attached]
Some of those folders are hidden, so you'll have to change your settings to display hidden folders to find it.
2. There are two files there. After making sure they are not set to read-only, open them in Notepad.
3. Press CTRL+f and copypaste this into the search field: <int>404798</int>
4. Once it's found, delete it, and then save. Do this for both files.
The copper pan event should then trigger.

First off there needs to be more change besides some new shit in your house.
Abigail will join you in the mines with her sword, or can be asked to go on her own to come back with coal/ore/monsterloot, with a small chance of her getting hurt and winding up in the hospital.
Maru will make upgrades around the farm, such as making a faster crystalarium or a better recycling machine, or maybe make a new tool that harvests multiple crops at a time, or an automated hopper system for furnaces/kegs/etc
Sam brings a working jukebox to your farm, and teaches you how to play an instrument of your choice. You can play with him to unlock new songs for the game that aren't available any other way, or perhaps write your own songs or import custom songs.
Leah builds a workshop on your farm, where she will make art pieces for you to display. With wood and cloth she can make you unique paintings for your wall, and with hardwood she can make sculptures for your house. She can also carve different trees into large pieces, and can preserve giant crops so they can be moved and displayed all year.
Harvey will be your medical hero, saving you from death without cost or chance of lost items. You also no longer have to pay for passing out anywhere but in your home. He also has a small apothecary in the house where he can make various potions and tonics for you out of various items, becoming a cheap source of healing and energy items. Maybe even gamebreaking items like something that doubles your speed, or an energy pill that lets you stay up all night, adding 4 extra hours to the game clock, or simply slows down game time.

I think I've fallen in love with Robin.
I saved up all season so I could start building things in the winter, didn't get around to it to halfway through the season, but she's been here almost every day since. All winter I would come out and talk to her, bring her hot coffee or stew, and watch her work for a while before starting my day.
When spring started, I would sit on my porch every day, watching her work up a sweat in the morning sun before getting up the nerve to talk to her again. I took the bus to calico desert every day to see if I could buy her an ice cream.
It's almost my second summer now... I have every building I can, they're all upgraded to the max. I have four empty silos. I've spent all my money on upgrades without even being able to afford more than the most basic animals, my barn isn't even full and I haven't touched my slime hutch... There's no reason for her to come back. I should focus now on actually getting animals and becoming a rancher, or try planting something again...

After you create your character the game throws you in to the world. You're able to learn everything from farming to relationships all by yourself. If you need some direction you can look at a wiki. Unlike most I never played harvest moon and I learned most of the stuff in the game without any outside help.
