Welp, time to start putting money away for that inevitable Limited Edition version. I can't goy out on ACI because who knows how deep that rabbit hole goes but if it's a one-time purchase I won't back down to matter how much it costs.
I kinda hope that the tourney system will be back in AC7 multiplayer, it keeps players coming back for more. But since sortie fuel is most likely not coming back, how is it gonna work? All of the top players probably spent a whole week doing constant sorties.
On another note, is there a way to get a higher spot in the leaderboard? I keep on losing my spot to players who actually buy stocked fuel. I want to be able to win a special aircraft for once.

SAAMs can do work, they just need levels, some parts, and the right mindset.
For starters, you don't actually need the steering circle parts. You'll manage without it just fine.
Anyway, get the SAAMs to level 5 and then hit up the Assembler to see what Warhead you want to bring. I like L for those faggot cruise missiles on Dubai. Also give those SAAMs some extra speed and homing just to make sure they almost always hit. This is probably the only special missile where you can leave Awareness off, the enhanced reload speed doesn't do a whole lot when you have to focus on your target.
Now, the biggest trick in proper SAAM usage is knowing when to fire your second missile. After you launch on a target, find something else nearby to shoot while keeping your circle focused on the first one. Once your SAAM has made some fair distance, I try to wait until half the travel distance, fire a missile at the second target. See, the target doesn't have to start in your circle, you just need tone. Once your first target dies (or miraculously dodges in the case of red planes) move over to the second one and watch your missile take a HARD turn to smack that guy.

I think the only way a tourney system would work would be to scrap this current cumulative system that isn't clearly laid out. Instead, it should be whoever can get the highest sortie score over the course of the tourney period.
There are a couple of ways to do this. One is just the highest score in any sortie during the event period. This would make it fair to people who can't sortie every day, but it isn't necessarily the best test of skill, because one person might get one lucky sortie and play like absolute shit the rest of the tourney.
Another would be best average score. Your average sortie score at the end of the day would be your daily score. The average of your daily scores would be your tourney score. Not sure how it would work if you don't sortie one day. Either the day wouldn't count or you would get a zero for the day. That's a tough call.

I was leveling up the Tornado and the MiG-35D, got them to level 5.
Then I won the Scarface XFA-27. It's gonna cost all my savings to just barely get to level 7. For now, it's still getting research up to lvl 2.
I intend to MSTM it up, as anyone with an XFA-27 would. It's a shame they took ECM and replaced it with a worthless weapon, or else I'd finally have an ECM boat too.
I doubt I will ever get it to 10 before the game shuts down.

Brought Flanker-E to 13 finally, and I guess It'll stay for some time in there. Some slot development will be done until I'll feel like grinding for 4 mirrion to upgrade or Bamco gods will grant me some nice multiple million drops.
Now it's all about F-2 NG and bringing it to level 10. I must thank one anon who told me to bring up LASM more often, it's really great. After that, I think about starting some side grind for some good 4AGM attacker.

Working on a level 20 Yayoi, simply because she is best girl, I have fond memories of the Mirage when I was starting off, and so I can trigger people in N/TDM's. Using 4AGM just for yellow trash.
Also working on getting Hibiki to 10 to join my other Idol planes, Then just getting some of my other planes to 10, such as Lancer for 6AAM spam, A-6E Nugget, Falken, and F-35B for planefu. Maybe look into other planes, such as my Jean Louis, ASF-X Nagase, and F-14B Persian Cat.

some of the maps really need a redesign in terms of enemy placements to make it more fun, Aerospace is one of them, as it is now it's just a game of who gets to the centre first, in fact you're pretty much punished for trying to clean up your side of the map with you only getting mostly yellow targets and even if you take out all the targets on your side without rushing to the middle you still get less points than those who just rush in and take out the reds

I did some standard missile range tests on planes of different levels, here's the results that I got, they might not be 100% accurate but it's as close as I could get without recording the whole thing and slowing it down frame by frame.
plane level/missile lock range (distances are in meters)
1. 2000
2. 2050
3. 2150
4. 2250
5. 2300
6. 2400
7. 2450
8. 2550
9. 2650
10. 2700
at level 13 it's 2850
I tested this on different planes types and it doesn't seem like there are any differences between the plane type vs targets, you're welcome to double check the results
