You tried to save your servant, Meltlilith, Passiponlip, Rani, Rin, Blossom, BB, and everyone.
Saving people is hard work though, and basically Hakuno fucked it up repeatedly and everyone kept dying to save him instead.
He gets to the finish line with his servant, only for them to stay behind and tell him that they were already dead from the start of this game, they were dead all along. However they chose death in order to come to the far side of the Moon to save your ass. The second they came to the far side, they were already deleted, and you were the one that called them there from the start of the game. People always use this as a reason to shit on Blossom, when its misplaced entirely.
Blossom is the reason you can have your servant ends as well, but after watching someone go unrewarded so long in the normal ending, she deserved a good ending.
Also since the Mooncell reset at the end of the game, your servant was still saved, and an outcome where you get with them while simultaneously getting with Blossom is possible.

CCCfag is correct, but to be honest the CCC ending still leaves me a bad after taste because I played completed it with Tamamo (well, also Gil). Normal end is this. This is what happens if you don't raise your servant's affection points enough on the far side of the Moon, as the game repeats back into Fate/Extra and you die again.
True ending is CCC route
True Ending and other endings are divergent based on whether you've collected Sakura points throughout the game. They're actually pretty damn hard to get, and easy to miss. The game makes you work a bit to get the True ending, which is the most optimistic ending.

I guess we're gonna have to agree to disagree then, since I don't consider the other endings fanservice alternatives - they're just valid alternatives for what happens if Hakuno and Sakura don't connect fully.
Though I'm basing that off viewing CCC as an extension of Extra, where the servant's and Hakuno's relationship with them was the focus of the story, so I'm probably biased since I think of their endings as more of a finale to that game than just for the CCC route - which I'm guessing you don't do.

Hakuno's ending is in CCC. The reason why is Sakura the heroine beside him or her is because she had a similar arc and struggle. You might think Nero ending as the ending appropriate for Nero (or Tamamo or Gilgamesh), but it's not for Hakuno, because it doesn't actually reflect Hakuno's character arc in the slightest. It's all about Nero's wishes and none of Hakuno's.
That's why they are called Servant endings, because it's not about the MC storyline.

I kind of feel bad for Nasu. He clearly wants so bad for Sakura to be more popular, so he made Blossom to try and fix the problem of Sakura being the worst part of her own route. But it happened all over again, and everyone prefers the other characters in CCC, even the Alter Egos, while Blossom is regarded as the blandest, least substantial part of the game.

How though? Their themes are entirely different, the development of Hakuno is entirely different, and every character is -essentially - a different iteration of themself between them.
CCC is its own thing for the most part, and the servant endings in it are just there to give a more definitive conclusion to Extra than "protagonist dies, Rani/Rin swear to find the original - fade to black" that either gives a proper conclusion to Hakuno's romance with Tamamo/Nero and a cheerier end to their character arc, or at least confirms what happened to the original on Earth in Archer's ending.

Did you actually play the games? Nero probably has the most convincing romance of any character with Hakuno.
I'll admit the justification for how she and Tamamo save the day is a bit out there, but it's still clearly explained as well.

And fuck, Archer's end doesn't even do that - it just gives closure to Rin/Rani's wish for the original Hakuno to wake up, which is the total opposite of pandering to waifufags since they don't even hook up in that one.
Just because it's happier doesn't mean it's shit or somehow less valid than the CCC True End.

In order to save you they might have fought the god machine, but they saw it as being pointless or having no chance. In CCC, due to what they gained watching BB fight the world, and watching Hakuno be ready to die for them, your servant decided that they would go all out even if there was no chance, or even if they would have to fuck up the entire world in the process.
It isn't really wrong that they stood by and watched at the end of the first game, all servants are supposed to accept the fate that comes at the end of the contest, the ones who don't and end up trying to fight the world would be the abortions.

Saber left Shirou and it was Shirou who became a Heroic Spirit-like thing to reach out for her again, having her as a role model. It wasn't Arturia who magically broke out Avalon and became a normalfag to live with him which would undermine both character's growth. Shirou did the deed as a grow up.
Nero, Tamamo and Gilgamesh still babysitting Hakuno is a sign of immaturity and incomplete character arc. While in CCC, it implies that Hakuno and Sakura will save all their companions eventually.

Meltout is not better, but is still pretty damn good. Basically is the story of Extra and CCC but with Melt as the sixth controllable Servant (Liz counts). Most of the upsides of the story comes pretty much form using the best of the real EXTRA games' history and using the content that was cut out, like the Sakura 5.
Still it was very entertaining to read "End of the pleasure" vs. "All the World's Desire", and the fight against Kingprotea.
