Some DZ vendor items that might stuff a hole in your loadout. The M45A1 / 1911 for sale has some of the highest base damage per bullet that pistol can have, making it a decent sidearm choice, even over the Damascus.

You should try running UN on Hard for shekels. 8 purples guaranteed, 2 to 6 ( :^) ) Phoenix tokens, and more loot from the rest of the mobs. Plus 10k++ mission reward. You can speedrun the UN with two people in sub 15 minutes.

I hope a future update adds way more nooks and crannies to explore in New York, with previously closed apartment-buildings opening up, with random loot containers with a chance of high-end stuff and fair share of enemies, but then I guess that's why the Dark Zone exist.
It's a shame really that the only reason you wander around in the world when you are done with everything is just to collect materials from preset locations and every now and then run into a named enemy, while all the other enemies are lvl 25 at best. I want a reason to get out there other than just look for scraps. And it's getting kind of boring to run Lincoln Tunnel Checkpoint all day.

A SCAR-H is a fast firing, relatively accurate, low damage marksman rifle.
The M1A fires comparatively fast, but deals much more damage per shot.
DPS factors in reload time.
So, in the same time the M1A mag dumps and kills a nigger and then reloads, the SCAR-H can still fire before it needs to reload. But, as that reload is time of the equation, the SCAR-H has a slower TTK with a longer uptime.
That only applies if you hit every shot, where the M1A is better, too. I know you ike big numbers - we all do, if we are honest - but you need to start to understand the difference between TTK and a normalised DPS as displayed in the game. The Scar-H does, what, 16k per hit, where the M1A does, what, 30k per hit? Can you hit the same target in the head four time in the time span a M1A can do it twice? No. You can't. Because if you fire at the RoF required (not that the SCAR-H has that RoF, to begin with), the Scar-H can't hit the broadside of a barn.

I can officially say that the rogue system doesn't need to be fixed. I haven't died rogue I'm like 2 days. We have an elaborate technique. Here it is. I'm full tank build, 74%bullet reduction 120k hp 105k dps , we have a full group, find a group doing whatever with loot, I drop group , pop dmg ult and murder one, snag loot and have my group tail me, I start running, they keep me tagged to keep rogue status, pull groups behind us and they block bullets tagging other groups rogue, and as thay happens we turn and burn whoever behind us now marked with a 19 sec rogue timer. Steal loot experience and dollary doos.

Everyone likes SMGs with high crit damage and chance. If you like LMGs and want to do PvE, get a Pakhan with +mag size and +rate of fire magazine mods on it. Probably the biggest concern for me personally is there's no cooldown on when perks activate. So on Caduceus, every time I get a headshot, I get 5.5% cooldown on my 2 abilities. Meaning any 2 I pick, I can have up near constantly, forever. Its fucking insane.

The RPG elements in this feel way more integral to the experience than in something like Destiny though. It's not even just that, both Destiny and Division tried to emulate the Diablo style of loot hamster wheel, but not understanding why Diablo's hamster wheel works.
In Destiny and Division, it's all RNG loot with no real way to "earn" the shit you want (Destiny changed this with the raid, so you had one set of items to work towards). In every MMO, WOW, EQ and beyond, you knew what enemies dropped. You would camp them. You would run a raid on a specific dungeon specifically to try and gear up specific people. You had goals.
Ever since Diablo 3 this randomized loot shit is getting annoying. Play Destiny, get random guns. Play Divison, get random guns. Oh look I got gloves that are marginally better than other gloves and give me some health. That's really interesting, I guess? The loot has to be "grounded" and "balanced" and the easiest way to do that is make it simple. Simple is a boring carrot to put on a stick.
Meanwhile in Diablo, the reason their loot works so well is that it's fucking batshit insane. They are giving you shields that summon angels to fight by your side, a wand that shoots bubbles that slow down time, they give you a lightsaber that prints money, they give you the starship enterprise, they give you a helmet that turns you into Jesus Christ himself and lets you write a bible, they give you boots that summon 50 dragons that kills everyone on screen. The loot is absolutely insane and they give 0 fucks about balance.
Meanwhile I'm sitting here getting a rifle that gives me 1% of my HP back on headshot kills and the game is acting like I'm supposed to give a fuck.

yes, the "realistic" setting self-imposes limitations, but I'm good with that. there are a million games out there with crazy weaponry that can't possibly exist, with exoskeletons and walljumping, and all the other fluff.
but for "realistic" modern-day weaponry, we're limited to a few PC only games (CS, H1Z1, the ARMA mod whose name escapes me), and since Sony killed SOCOM, there's virtually nothing on console.

While I agree that they fucked up the loot system, I don't think Diablo is better because of batshit insane loot.
The problem with TD is that, with this style of loot system, you're supposed to be able to get enough loot that you can find stuff that suits your build. Apparently it was more like that for the first few days of the game, but now it sucks, and you're lucky to get any high-end gear at all, much less enough of it that you can pick and choose the right items.
The other problem, of course, is that this isn't a subscription-based MMO that runs on getting people to be on as much as possible, or a cash shop game that makes the grind suck to encourage people to skip it by paying for shit. It's a loot-based game, and the fun is in getting cool loot. When you have to grind away at a repetitive treadmill to get an item, it fucking sucks.
I see a lot of people shitting on people who want better PC rates or drop rates because "it's an MMO, you're supposed to invest a lot of time in it." It's not a traditional MMORPG, it's a game that's supposed to be fun and exciting, and running in circles for pathetic rewards isn't fun or exciting, it's tedious and boring. You can't just stretch out the time and effort it takes to get good gear and expect players to stick around longer because of it, you actually have to provide an experience that they will enjoy.

On the gunplay subject, I actually like it a lot more than I thought I would, considering I'm traditionally a tactical shooter player.
Having spongey enemies means that weapon stats mean more, and that different types are really noticeably different in how you play the game. I got a new SMG last night, one with crit damage and armor pen perks, and then modded it up so that I'm doing close to double crit damage. I took it into the DZ, and it was incredible in action, and a ton of fun to play with. If enemies went down at the speed they do in, say, R6 or CS, the differences between guns would be pretty minor, and this way it actually makes you feel like building the "perfect" gun is actually worth something.
The other thing about the gunplay is that it really makes team tactics matter. It's so much fun getting in a 4-stack and tearing a DZ06 named elite up as fast as you'd kill a DZ01 purple if you were solo.

in EQ, since some items were clearly superior, nobody ever utilized 90% of the content, we would just farm whatever dragon/deity was the newest and had the best shit, which was equally boring, and led to people getting encounter-burnout.

This is my point - You have a constant slot machine that only dishes out rewards on the regular, but have no real way to control what pops out. There is no "Jon Ferro can drop these legendary kneepads that have a ton of stamina / this specific latent" - there is no way to plan your build other than hope you get the shit you need
You are told to just *play the game* and have stuff drop. Is that stuff the stuff you need for your build? No? Keep pulling the lever on the slot machine. Hopefully you will hit the jackpot and get what you want.
The gear in Division is uninteresting, and it's not cool enough to make you rush out and make a build to utilize it. You will make your build to suit your gear, absolutely, but you do that begrudgingly because it's what the game has given you.
And it's going to kill the game. So many people left Destiny they had to entirely drop their DLC previous DLC plans in order to rework the game in it's entirety and implement a whole new montization scheme. And Destiny had the Crucible to help player retention, which Divison doesn't have.
If this game had CawaDuty Multiplayer it might have fared better. 8v8 King of the Hill or Capture the Flag in the middle of Times Square might be cool. Instead what we got is a Dark Zone wherenobody wants to go Rogue since the game punishes you for it.

What I'm not fine with is that you can spend 8 hours in the DZ, running a named elite circuit, and only get one item that's at a level worth using. Random gear works in games like D3 because you get enough of it to actually find good stuff that works with your build, while in TD you could play at NEET levels for a week and be lucky to get one piece of gear that you'll actually equip.
Using Phoenix Credits to reroll gear stats is absolutely ridiculous, too. If there's only one thing they change, it needs to be making rerolls on high-end gear more accessible so you can actually use the stuff you pick up or craft without breaking your build.

Many MMO's had "staple" content but I can tell you after years on EQ and FFXI, there was enough gear that you got to "get by" until you could get the better shit, which alone was a status symbol and an accomplishment.
While at the end, yes there is one shield at the top everyone wants to own, you still need to get the gear to get that shield. It trickles back down to having a route, setting goals, and letting players accomplish things. It's the equivalent of gaining EXP and leveling up.
Right now, whether or not I get good gear (level up) is completely at random. And people are getting bored. You can see it on Reddit and the generals.

It's just RNJesus is super easy to fuck up, as two multi million copies sold video games have demonstrated. Destiny had redeeming elements to make the game somewhat attractive for long term play, and memorable end game moments that at least make you consider buying the DLC.
Division right now is a fun singleplayer Ubisoft game. It's always online Watchdogs. But because the game lacks any real PvP, any real end game, and any real carrot on a stick to keep you going once you hit 30 - that's it. People are going to quit. They might not even come back for Incursion
Which means there is less likely to be any effort put into the free updates, or any extra free updates, patches or fixes at all. Effort into the Season Pass might be turned down, we may never get Central Park like Massive was going to put in but cut and it's literally in the game.
The point I'm making is the game will die, and it will die a lot faster than Destiny did, and it's going to hurt any real urge to invest in the game or improve it.
The last game Ubisoft sold a season pass for, they gave the content out for free. You can earn the Operators with in game dollars you'd already have if you played religiously, and everyone got the maps. They gave you nothing for the RB6:Siege Season Pass. Whats to stop them from giving us "nothing" in this game?
They already launched a game with no end game content and less features than Destiny had, the 7/10 game everyone said had nothing to do in it. Wheres the hope for the future.
I know I'm being a mellow dramatic pessimistic cunt but I really, really really wanted to like this game. If I just play it as a game I'll beat the campaign on and hit level 30, that's it. You would, hypothetically, have a way of getting what you want.
So while you are pulling the lever on that slot machine, you get shitty kneepads, and have some other yellow gear, you go online find someone is trading what you DO want,
So instead of quitting when you have gotten 10 yellows you can't fucking use, you can turn some of that into something you can use, motivating you to keep going and working towards your final build.
It's the only reason I can see them adding gear trading AFTER the game launched and not with it. They realized it's the only way to keep people.

And that would be fun, having PvP modes where gear stats / levels is enabled like what Destiny did for an event instead of normalizing everyone - and even then gear "perks" still worked in PvP, making some gear super amazing for PvP that would otherwise not be good in PvE.
I think the abilities in Division would be fun to have. Using a health crate defending a flag, while grenades or flash stickies come rolling in, would be interesting. It'd require some re-balancing, but that's to be expected.
