Yes. I understand the concept. Still, it seems redundant, in the sense that it's only used purely for aid (on the summoners side)... if there was a bigger reward or benefit, I think it'd be better.
Just having a whole covenant dedicated to people who need babysitting, it seems so lacklustre... should be more involved, considering it wastes any potential for something that could take it's place.

Personally, I am impressed that he is taking the hard road. Plus, DaS2 claims to be canon. They average joe doesn't know about there being different directors and all that or why it even matters.

I was plenty critical of DaS2 but I think one aspect the game did very well was the covenants. In fact if it had whole Eye Orbs I don't think I'd complain at all.
