it's been a long time since i played Kuma, but i only managed to shoot down 8 planes over 15 battles, including 5 in one battle once. the plane's only really useful when it manages to panic attack planes

The problem with it is it's only decent if you get the side upgrades, and if you want to climb up the tree, them you don't because they're expensive as fuck for xp.
It has a fucking 26s reload, with only 6 guns, and they're only moderately better than the smaller guns. Also it has terrible firing angles, and is a floating citadel. I could not sell mine fast enough when I hit 33k xp for Aoba.

Not, its terrible. Its has no armor, shit speed shit rudder shift time and the worst concealment in the game, so youre the first thing everyone will shoot at. Your turrets are all in the front so doing the "running away"-meta is impossible. Your turrets get knocked out all the fucking time, i had games where i lost all my main guns while i was still on 50k hp. You rarely ever finish a game with all your turrets up. Beeing the largest ship in the game with meme-tier AA and ogrish rudder shift time makes you the most juicy target for CVs as well.
The stock hull is basicly a larger T9 kongo and i grinded all the way through it.

It was frustrating at first for me, but once I got the hang of avoiding Bogue squadrons and exploiting weaknesses, Zuiho was easily the better of the two ships. AS Bogue is only good if the other carrier is inexperienced, stupid, or unlucky and keeps picking the worst spots to throw his planes. Strike Bogue is easy for a Zuiho to bully. Not to mention Bogues run out of planes fast when they go for one of those two loadouts.

As crazy as it sounds, yes.
Make no mistake, Myogi is flat out the worst T4 BB with the worst armor, but there's no point in sniping with it. You already have the least number of guns amongst the T4 BBs and your shitty turret layout means you pretty much have to show broadside to dish out any form of decent damage, but dishing out as much damage as early as possible is pretty much the only real option you have.

Also, I think if I wanted to get close, I would want to have company with me, with the Myogi you can get lots of CVs and DDs, CAs would distract the DDs, and other BBs might distract the CV from mebecause there is no way anything in T4 can shoot down a single God damn plane.

The Myogi's dispersion is actually decent and better than the Kongo at T5, it just doesn't have the number of guns to do a decent shotgun spread.
The Arkansas/Wyoming has 5x2, the Ishizuchi has 5x2, the fucking Imperator Nikolai has 4x3, and Myogi is stuck with 3x2. No surprise as to who's the shittiest T4 BB. On top of that, the Arkansas/Wyoming has good armor as does the Nikolai, which lets it tank decently on the broadside. The Myogi doesn't have this either.
It's not impossible to do well with Myogi, but it's easily the dullest blade on the block.

But the overmatch mechanics are a slav production. The only ship capable of overmatching the bow is Yamato, so any other ships will have to penetrate the bow without ricocheting, then somehow manage to hit the bulkhead at a steep enough angle that it isn't insanely thick.
Basically angle your ship like it were a fucking box when trying to fight a yamato to make your forward bulkhead as effectively thick as possible, and point your bow head on at anything else to abuse ricochets.

wave, you never play TB's with us. You only joined us because there was some gold involved. Then you decide to do your own thing: going away from all of us, to try to flank the enemy. In a stock New Mexico. And then complain when the rest of the team dies after you spent 5 minutes unable to fire upon the enemy team.
Call it lemming train or whatever you want, but we've been playing that setup for a while after realizing it's works the best against both shitters and the top teams, increasing our chances of deleting their DD's, protecting our own DD's and maximizing AA cover so we get air and map control. Most of the time with non-regular players and suboptimal ship setups. There's more to it than just "lemming" it, but of course you wouldn't know since you never play TB's with us.
Of course, it's always great to try other approaches.It's welcome. But then you have to be specific on what you want everybody to do. Otherwise you don't get to complain when nobody reads your mind. Want something done? Call it.

Not him but from my perspective, lemming train is the easiest way to lose a game. I've played team battles a couple of times and we don't run lemming trains but we do encounter teams trying to push at once and they tend to get blown the fuck out immediately. Doing lemming train in ranked battles with your own team would also be a 100% loss.

They spot enemy DDs and torps for you while everyone else can shoot at enemy DDs to protect your own DDs.

As I said, it works pretty well given our ragtag ship comp most of the time, no coms or actually organized caller. Focusing down in a single side, and THEN splitting according to the situation works better. Against top elo teams it works out very well, given the disadvantages mentioned already, and the times we lose to them it's mostly because of the large disparity in crew quality (5-skill ships DO make a lot of difference).
And how do you even flank a 4-DD perma-smoke team with a BB anyway? I honestly want to see that happen; and as I said, we can try it out, just call it.

They get blown up if they push stupidly right from the beginning. "Lemming train" is about staying together for the first minutes of the mach, sense the situation and the proceed accordingly. This may involve pushing straight the cap with our DD's, or sending some to flank. You're getting too fixated on a "hurr straight to berlin everybody get in cap" hipothetical lemming train that nobody seriously ever plays.
And no, the few times we lose is when the enemy perma smokes, has a 5-skill NFZ Cleveland in cover AND their 5-fighter Ruyjo has complete air dominance can freely spot our DD's.

That battle was easily winnable If all the Farraguts push together and taken turns to smoke, while the Aoba makes use of said smoke to not get blown up, with both BB's supporting from outside the cap. Instead, one Farragut went to do fuck all, one BB went the complete opposite way around and was irrelevant for half the match, and the Aoba had a stroke.

The scary 5000+ high elo teams? They stay together:

>5-fighter Ryujo AND a Cleveland behind an island/in smoke keeping the enemy fighters away so they can't spot the torpedoes, while spotting the other side torpedoes and DD's, effectively shutting down the cap.
