Bushido hammer is gr8. Bushido sliding uppercuts feel so good, and can chain into second pound > golfswing. The variations of the styles feel really good if you've been hammering for like six games. I tend to think it's a nice breath of fresh air.
It's true that Bushido can be used by shitty player as a huge crutch, but in the hands of a good player you can get kind of artistic with your r charges. Watch some speedruns!

I'm honestly wondering how the fuck could someone cram that many skills on a set, half that stuff doesn't splash together in armor pieces.
Either way, isn't Elemental better than XL? I mean neither is exactly easy to just get on a set along with Element +3 (besides Kirin armor or Rath armors), but a 10 percent increase on element seems a little better than (tru+25)*0.07. Though may be my math ain't that great.

Shit nigger preferring XL over Elemental or Element +3 is liker preferring it over Normal/Pierce Up.
Elemental shots DO scale with tru so for and end game weapon like Hornet (350 tru/%-50 aff) it is a 10% improvement on its elemental shots vs a 7% improvement. For Element +3 the difference is even bigger. There's just a benefit in the raw part of the damage over the other two skills, and that raw damage has a MV of 0.07*RF modifier
