You mean like in DaS1? DeS had no pyromancies, fire spells were part of sorceries. They only required a soul investment, rather than a stat investment (outside of ATT), in DaS1 for damage. In DaS2 the Fire ATK bonus from Int/Fai increased damage though.

I'm actually a little disappointed in DaS3 halberds so far. The fact that their R1s are all thrusts that are functionally similar to spears but just slightly slower makes me feel like it's just the same concept as Lances from DaS2 with a different skin. And if the Partizan has taught me anything it's that R2 sweeps are never fast enough to be used safely and essentially just constitute mixup to rollcatch careless players. I don't like that paradigm. I much prefer halberds to have a diverse mix of thrust, slash, chop and sweep attacks mixed throughout their R1s and 2s than for their R1s to be lance thrusts and the R2s to be slow sweeps.

Yeah, you could do that, and the nice thing about fighting Pinwheel now is that you'll probably already be over-leveled for him since he's one of the easiest bosses in the game for where he's placed and waiting longer just makes the problem worse. That being said, I personally find the rite of kindling actually helps very little. There was exactly one boss in the whole game that I ever ran out of 10 estus on. All the others either flat out killed me before then or I killed them. However, maybe your playstyle is different and it would help you more. Up to you

I really liked halberds in 2.
The sweetspot was a bit of a pain in the ass, though I actually kinda liked it as a pve mechanic. If it weren't for the sweetspot, I think they would have been at least decent pvp weapons. Their damage was out of this world and the moveset was a good mix of different attacks (except for that stupid spin. Fuck the spin). It was just crippled by the fact that spacing around sweetspots isn't reliable in netcode where you could be facing a 500ms delay from some afghanistan spinner

My last playthrough I got the Black Knight halbert about a couple hours in the game and was able to get it to level 3 early because it upgrades with twinkling. The game was never so easy.

DeS. I was chicken and decided to go with royal and magic spam my way through the game. It was tedious and still hard. I put the game down for a while and decided to go with melee which turned out to be the way to go. Once melee clicks, the game becomes very enjoyable.

From what we've seen in Dark Souls 3 I can surmise this about halberds.
Halberd:The basic halberd is actually just about as fast as it was in DaS, on top of that it also has the same stun power but without the stumble mechanic, this honestly seems a little OP to me, and I love halberds. Expect to see this often in invasions. Has a charging weapon art that seems perfect for killing fleeing hosts during invasions.
Lucerne: Questionable, it has slower attacks than the halberd, but it too lacks the stumble mechanic, more balanced than the halberd I think. Weapon art is a spin that transitions into an overhead, if it combos this could be a powerful weapon.
Great scythe: Fucking OP nonsense, the GS's moveset is downright incredible and it is completely unfettered by the stumble mechanic, this is going to be even more popular in DaS3 than in 1. It also has a headshot weapon art that we have yet to see used on an enemy, but it sounds broken as fuck.
I'll be collecting every halberd in the game on release day and will be going in depth on all of them to see how good they are and which builds are best for each one of them. Halbros unite!

I mean it all makes sense, everyone has water inside them , so when you kill hollows and shit you get some souls, or, water from them. This also works with bosses too. Bigger bosses give you more souls, or, water points as I like to call them. Everyone needs water which makes sense as it is a currency as well.

Do skeletons have flesh, Anon? I think all skellybones except Nito and Dickwraiths don't really have any weaknesses, maybe lightning but I doubt it. Divine weapons silence them forever if they're necromancer bound but still.
