So apparently there is a mouse-or-some-other-species Lyn just outside the hogshead hamlet that vends BSH soulshield pieces alongside some other stuff.
Now, this by itself isn't new. There's other npcs doing the same. But I bought my missing 3/7 pieces from the little guy with the sole 22 tokens I had and got max hp/crit rolls on both. At the end of a day where literally everything had backfired with bad luck.

Most people who fail 3rf get the timing wrong by pressing too fast. There was a youtube vid going around of someone filming their hand on the keyboard doing it and it was a really really slow and methodical tap-tap-tap in waltz time. Sadly I can't find the link.
Try and find a song in 3/4 time at the appropriate speed that you like and tap 3rf to the rhythm in your head? That sort of thing works for me at least. Either way, spamming too fast is usually the failure reason.
Also some people say you can have more success by double-pressing the 3 if you're doing more of them. so 3rf33rf33rf etc, seems to have more success.
My manual dexterity isnt great though so I'm not really the best person to know.

Now the season has restarted there are so many human players in pvp in actually having fun. Even if I do lose 50% of my matches.I don't even think that is that bad really. Given I'm a BM and most my loses are to summoner or lbd.
Any BM got tips to take on summoner. If I rush the cat quick enough. Maybe stun the summoner during my rush a few times I can kill cat. But I'm usually at 40% or less health. Then they just kite and widdle my health down and I can't chase em down.

A decent summoner won't let you just kill the cat. They'll make it cower as soon as you go on it, so switch to the summoner.
You have to alternate your DPS between the cat and the summoner if you want to kill it. Even near plat the summoners still get a bit uncomfortable if you keep using gap closers and don't give them room to breathe so you can whittle the cat down by going at them and hitting it a few times before switching back. At some point you can just stun and kill it with a lightning draw and a few RMBs.
That said, I'm stuck with summoners near plat too :^)

First thing you should do is to get a profane weapon as soon as possible. All the other upgrades can wait.
Daily quests will give you more keys than you will ever need but you will have to keep buying unsealing charms from the general merchants.
(They are more expensive at the broker.)
In regards to soul shields, you should buy some nightshade essences and spin the wheel in nightshade harbour. Thats the fastest way to get a soulshield that is not all health. And you can combine the blue shield with the epic shield from BSH.
