Starve them out, high ground is usually small. Build a wall around them if you like too, it'll be a hill-fort when they die.
Set fire to the hill they're on (conditional, it has to be long grass or something)
Pikewall (actually performs better when attacking uphill)
Attack something they need to reinforce to make them leave
Missile barrage (conditional, you need to have missile superiority)
Frontal assault with a U formation, people camping on a hill can't extend their front to prevent being flanked because they'd lose their height advantage. The center doesn't need to make contact, just pin the enemy center on the hill through presence. Condition is that they didn't fortify or aren't just on a plain slope.

Corvettes: Torpedoes + Plasma Throwers + Shield.
So I equipped my corvettes and destroyers with:
Point Defense + Mass Drivers + Shield
They tear through my fleet like nothing. I destroyed probably only 3 ships, they destroyed all of my 30 ships. The numbers were equal.

Looking at it, this game just looks like ass. The UI is cluttered as fuck, there are numbers everywhere, tiles don't fit next to earch other, borders are gore-y as fuck.
I mean, graphically it's fine and doesn't really matter to me, but interface and UI is just really fucking outdated and unpleasant to look at.

For some reason the most recent patch auto-generates a number of leaders when elections roll around (generally around about 3 or 4) who remain in the pool after elections finish. A few of your existing specialists are up for election, but for some reason all these new ones are generated at no cost and can give you more leaders than you're 'supposed' to have

Just how unhappy they are? -25% will pass. Add governer, entertainment, try to converge their ethics, they'll soon become productive.

Can you resettle the pops? You probably colonized a planet most fit for aliens. Let planet grow in 5 pops, and start moving your pop out and their in. Allowing migration would do part of the job but it's not perfect for this.
Finally, leave your pops alone and then genetically modify them.

Aggressive first contact doesn't really do anything. It allows you to attack non-hostile unidentified aliens but won't make them hostile and won't make your fleets engage them automatically.

Well though this civ was going to suck turns out its rather good with how the units work.
They get enough kills they upgrade, they also get marks from animals giving a buff on what it was.

you can get jump drives with warp,hyperlanes and wormholes. Materialists get a -chance to it showing up in research, spiritualists get a +chance to it showing up, all others stay the same. Also some say it helps if the scientists has a psionics trait

How do I reduce lag during Civilization 5: Brave New World multiplayer? I've tried it like twice and the lag has always been terrible. It takes like 15 minutes for the game to go from a player ending their turn to starting the next turn across all the players. And this was with 4-player games.
