on the same token, you keep the exp rates low so the players will actually have to use what they find in order to reach the high levels efficiently, and having a larger inventory of useful things means a larger competitive base at the higher levels of the game; large swarms of players quit due to a lack of desire for the endless farming of gear, cards, and other items necessary for breaking into competitive play.
face the facts, nobody wants to farm RNG-lottery shit they've already acquired a multitude of times in the year of our lord and savior 2016 unless you're damaged. this is literally the cancer killing RO. droprates like this only work when there are thousands of players, not 300 of them quad-clienting their slave army

Leveling is far more bearable than farming equipment, even more so with high equip/card drop rates. Slow leveling with good equipment available is extremely fun.

I can farm enough zeny to buy all my equipment in a week or two, depending on market prices and how nerfed zeny farming spots are (I'm only missing variant on DoM right now, I have 20m and they go for around 40m, I should get them within a few days, or I could wait for more bee kills for the price to drop).
With real 1x, no mercs, no TKM leeching, etc, it takes an hour to get 0.5% at level 98 trans solo leveling. Effective HW+HP NI parties can get you around 1%/hour. I can guarantee you have never experienced the hell of iRO if you actually think this is a good idea.

DoM is following suit -- it's less than a week away from a month old and there's no WoE yet...which is plenty of time to reach rebirth jobs.
