She's pretty good, yes. Invisibility for the whole team and decent CC with sleep arrows if you build for range and duration, tons of fucking damage if you build for her bow. Her navigator skill is really fun to fuck around with, too.

She's flexible frame, and yes, she's very good. She doesn't hit the levels of retardation that ID Loki does as far as enemy mitigation goes but she gets really close with sleep arrows.
She also does a lot more damage than Loki does with a Navi/Artemis build. Or even just a Navi build given how strong it is.

If you're newer to the game, Mesa will give you bad habits with Peacemaker, which is a luxury a lot of other frames just don't have, and can become a crutch very quickly.
Grind her out. You will appreciate her value much more, and likely learn more about the game in the process.
Personally, Mesa is the only frame I have put a Lens into, which is not recommended because you get 0 focus for kills with Peacemaker.
You have to use the rest of her toolkit, which can be incredibly strong if you know how to supplement it.

Nah get the augment resonance(it re-activates the pulse every time an enemy affected by it dies and eventually enemies will be covered head-to-toe with marks) and do a power strength/range build
Watch as your weakest of weapons kill any enemy below level 50-60 in one tick to a marked spot
Also keep your silence on if possible, it stuns enemies for a few seconds when they enter its range
My personal favorite weapon for this is Ignis. Enjoy.

It's good if if you want to farm ammo mods that people might buy like rime and thermite. It is massively slower.

It's widely regarded that Oberon, Banshee, Mesa, and maybe Mag (for non-corpus) are the current worst frames, although they can still be useable in 95% of the game.
Make every frame you can though, leveling them gives lots of exp and most endgame-good weapons are level-locked to some extent.
Don't buy completed items with plat or rush foundry items. if you must spend plat, buy weapon and frame slots, or reactors and catalysts.

There are three builds for Banshee and all of them play completely different from the rest. One build requires an augment and the other uses two, so you'll want to get every single augment for her.
The most commonly used Banshee build is a Sonar build. Use the augment with max range, high power strength, and above 100% duration.
Silence builds use not only Savage Silence, but Sonic Fracture as well. Use both augments along with at least 143% power strength, between 79-115% range, and a good balance between duration and efficiency.
The last is just for AFKing Interception missions. Build for max range and efficiency and press 4. Use energy pads or Zenurik between rounds.
