It's pretty good, and has a unique overworld with areas you go to, similar to going down a dungeon, getting progressively harder the farther you go.
Plus some main dungeons with bosses, and I believe Angband being the endgame dungeon.

nah, rune knights slap runes on stuff. I got lucky on those items because you can get from +2 to +10 with protection.
Basically the technique with rune knights is that you slap runes on average body armors and sell them back to the shop for LOADSOFEMONE. You keep doing that until you have GREAT GEAR, then you go and dance the WYRM CONGA with THE MIGHTIEST WYRMS to grab ALL THE ARTEFACTS.

i found a human skeleton in sil... not sure how rare those are but it's the first in my very limited amount of games... and it's much deeper than the elven ones
