Honestly? It's just a fucking fun skill. The grind is fast but fair, and the products benefit multiple other skills. From fastest xp to most profitable to most fun, there are tons of way to level Hunter. Hunter is just an overall great skill to appeal to what really matters on a server like /v/scape - the grind.
As a scrub who's gone through the hassle of farming/buying d bones, ectofungus'ing them, and desperately using pest points to on prayer only to come up millions upon millions of xp short of 99, I know the struggle of training prayer on server.It's mostly because the supply of people selling d bones is fucking nonexistent.Even so, one must recall the true reason for Construction's existence in Runscape: Deflation. 95% of Construction is built around mitigating the rampant inflation that was threatening realscape at the time of its addition. The remaining percentage was split between functional use (fast prayer training if you had the supplies, unlimited teleports, some extra bank space) and purely aesthetic additions. It could be a fun skill to train for the extremely wealthy, but the average player would only gain tangential benefits from Construction. Newfags would have downright no use for Construction until they had become established midfags.
While I would like to see Construction added to /v/scape eventually, there are many more important updates that should be implemented first. Like fucking Black Masks holy shit what the fuck why aren't Black Masks in this fucking game already they were in realscape July 2006 what the shit get your goddamn fucking shit together.

This happens every time, no matter where I am, be it the house or the bus or in class. Sometimes I laugh just thinking about it. This is a dark memory but a few months back I had just gotten done with a fit of laughter caused by one of these hilarious threads. Suddenly my mom walks in and she’s crying. I attempted to suppress the growing urge to laugh but it was getting more difficult. Face red, tears running down her aging face, mom grabs my shoulders and says “Your father’s dead.”
It was at that moment that I couldn’t hold back anymore. I burst into a banana-induced fit of laughter, but the horrible news drew tears to my eyes. I laughed while I cried, tears streaming down my wide open grin, memories of daddy resurfacing and being melded and combined with the naked banana.
I lost two things that night..
