Blessing of light gives you an extra healthbar to fire away with Touch of Malice, so you can use it extensively to get rid of ogres and light eater knights. Just step back into the bubble and your shield is restored, giving you immense firepower outside of the aura of immortality.
Ideally, you want that defender on one of the platforms when the ogres spawn. For overkill, have a second defender on the same platform, but with weapons of light. That gives you extra health for Touch of Malice plus a 50% damage boost.

This is an idea the Dev's must have talked about at some point or another. What if we had weapon type proficiency, so the more you used Snipers or Pulses you got bonuses for increasing your proficiency rank. This would be subtle so its not overpowered or create a skill gap between players who play all the time and players who dont play as often. That's when I had a good idea, what if it buffed Stability and Reload of one weapontype by 5 or 10%. And that would be the max, you would have to level up to reach the max percentage. It wouldnt really make much of a difference until you got it to max but it would still be something new to level up.
Anyway they probably threw that idea out early.

Guys guys I need help!
So, before Christmas I kept getting dragged into failed raids by the guy I live with. It took us like 4-5 weeks to finally get to Oryx and the people I was forced to play with were just too dumb to kill Oryx.
Then it came Christmas, so I got a week or two off of raiding. During this time I just decided to let my Xbox live gold run out so I could be like "nah, don't feel like paying just to raid once a week". And it worked for a while! I got out of 8 hours a day 7 days a week of failed raiding.
Anyway. Since then the people who kept dragging me to the raid have failed hard as fuck. They've not managed to get past Golgoroth. They've also lost another player and been filling the blanks with random people they can find (who never stay long).
The problem is, right now, I can hear the guy I live with talking to his friends and they are PLOTTING. Plotting how to get me back to doing the raid. This means from tomorrow onwards, I'm going to have this guy pestering me constantly about doing this raid.
What excuse can I use to tell him to politely fuck off?What's a painless method of suicide?
I am not fucking raiding again and I can hear them talking right now about buying me Xbox live gold just so I cannot use that as an excuse. But he's so fucking persistent and annoying.

So by the end of the Taken King; the Fallen are nearly extinct, the Hive are mourning their god are thus crippled, the Cabal are doing Cabal things and the worst thing the Vex had to deal with is losing a few constructs.

Fallen houses are all scrambled and smashed. Only house kings remains intact. House exiles is a non issue cause uncoordinated ragtag fallen.

Cabal garrison has been thoroughly smashed and defeated, however they sent out a signal and we have confirmation that the cabal emperor himself has taken note how a part of his army has been crushed and that he has no other choice but to come here now.
Oryx was one of three hive gods. The other two have been doing their own thing for so long that not even Oryx knew what they're up to, and in some grim cards he speculated that they could have grown stronger than him now.
And then there's that mysterious Hive being called Nekros, who is either strong or important enough to receive a statue next to Crota and Oryx.

What do you think? If we get a Cabal expansion Zavala would likely be our main contact in the tower. He's the most military guy of the three, most knowledge of tactics and direct combat. Him accompanying us in Cabal centered DLC would make sense, even if it's just over comms.
Also, he had a history with Valus Ta'aurc as he said in the one story mission. I think it's either Enemy of my Enemy or outbound signal.

With Low Zoom scopes sniper rifles are excellent mid range and sometimes even close range weapons. Yeah, I don't disagree. But along with those changes they did other weird and unnecessary shit like killing auto rifles, buffing thorn and screwing around with fusions. It was that first major patch that really screwed with the game.
It was still fun all the way until TTK though, and that's where it just stopped working somehow. I don't even know how to explain it properly but it just stopped functioning the same, likely because they changed enough things that the original team's design intentions were overridden and thrown in the trash.
Fusions seem to be a complete wildcard, nobody at bungie has a clue about them.

They reduced the ammo Shotguns start with and how much they pick up from special ammo spawns. they can and should do the same with Snipers if they choose to keep the Special ammo system in PvP as is, if they nerf that now then Sidearms, Fusion Rifles and shotgun with need to be compensated in some way.
Low-zoom scopes are all the 2x zoom sniper scopes, because of how maps are and because of AA there is no reason to use mid (3x) or High (4x) zoom scopes. Low Zoom allows people to use the Sniper as a Mid-distance battle rifle, and channel their favorite CoD quickscoping stream monster.
Low and Mid Impact Snipers deal too much Bodyshot damage, even Wherlorian's March and The Glass Promintory (both low Impact Snipers) leave you with only enough HP to survive, and a single shot from any primary kills you, so people just use them to Bodyshop, swap and kill you.

Here's where you're wrong. The power sniper rifles have over the battlefield is the reason it was a power weapon in Halo. Imagine in Halo if you could just choose the sniper at the start of a match, now give the ability to put a scope on that sniper that would allow for easier shooting at close ranges. Snipers dominate maps with range and their influence on the game needs to be reduced. Less ammo is needed

They are best used in the distance between Shotgun Max effective range and Pulse Effective Range. They kill faster than any Primary but TLW with hipfire headshots, and will normally kill a silde shotgun shitter if you see them coming before they can get you and if they don't get the one shot you normally can kill them before they can melee or get a second round off.
I love them, just treat them like a high Rate of Fire Hand Cannon with somewhat reduced impact (you can still get 50 damage headshots)

That is the only way to use them, you aim mid-chest, spam trigger and the recoil puts you on upper chest and head, you should not be using Sidearm outside relatively close quarters so the recoil should rarely be a factor.

I fucking love my Jabberhakke-D and Ironwreath-D. With the right perk/modifier roll, they can wreck shit in both PvE and PvP.
In both cases, they're a perfect fall-back secondary when you run out of ammo on your primary but something needs to die and can't wait for a reload, something definitely helped with their near-instantaneous draw/swap speed. Quite a few sidearms often come with perks/modifiers that increase reload speed, and this really augments their versatility with their high ROF, allowing you to piss out DPS and never let up until your reserves run dry. They can also stagger almost every PvE enemy up to Ultras, which is especially helpful in making sure things like Hobgoblins and Taken Vandals can't throw up shields.
In the PvE aspect of things, you can actually outshoot a lot of primary wielders up to medium-range engagement. They have an incredibly low impact rating, but they also have an incredibly high ROF rating, so it balances out, and if you're able to put all rounds on target with as many crits as possible, you can DPS someone down from full shield to dead in less than a mag's worth in as quick as a second. They seem to have slightly quicker ADS movement than most other guns too. Shotgun rushers don't even stand a chance. Hakke sidearms also come with an innate perk of increased muzzle velocity, giving them near hit-scan and making them even more broken against other players.
I think I actually get more kills with my sidearm than I ever do with primary weapons in the Crucible; I can't see myself running any other kind of special weapon in there anymore.

It's a close call between that and defender. Sunsinger with fireborn and Tlaloc gives you the best scout rifle in the game and a safety net in case you fuck up. DLC has been replaced with micro-transactions, exotics moved from just rng to time gates. Loot tables and rewards feel worse and worse for the amount of time put into activities. Huge lack of content because of a disregard for making earlier gear useful in any way. PVP balance seems to be a lost cause. The entire rpg system bungie put together is falling apart all over the place. Currencies are frustrating, light levels are worse, hell even perks on weapons are suffering. Not to mention the story issues. Where are we going with this game? Does anyone even care anymore?

rift was also another thing that should have been added from day one. How was there no CTF mode in crucible or at least something like it?

Thing is, at least on my end, I have seen new players come in at a rather steady clip, but even then, they're still going to be worse off because barely anybody runs old content anymore. For the newbies, though, and for people who aren't upwards of 310 light, there's still more to do, but everyone else is kind of done.
I just play for the fun of it, really, but unless this February update includes something massive, I think it may be time to just wait until the proper sequel. We've run almost every race at this point.
