I wasn't able to play for 2 days straight because the launcher kept downloading 2gb worth of files over and over again, always ending on errors.

You don't know the half of it, in-game is even worse. I joined the reddit guild when this general first popped up and the JP servers opened up. This was hands down the most authoritarian structure of a guild I have ever dealt with across any game.
Any PvP, I mean any, warranted a kick from the guild, as it "tarnished their reputation, took away for the efforts of others in the guild and best of all, brought down the atmosphere", nearly verbatim.
There are people who play this game who don't even want PvP in the game at all. Guild wars would result in guild messages coming out to stay in town, some of the most cowardly and anti-fun shit I've ever put up with. These are the people speaking out about how they want NA to shape up to be and it's a fucking shame, because these people couldn't even handle a conflict in conversation, let alone in game.
