Dirty Bomb's a free to play FPS and successor to games like Enemy Territory or Brink

No. The merc unlock system is relatively merciful and as long as you're not a compulsive gambler, you can amass credits pretty quick.
There are also loadout cards with different rarity, but those aren't going to make you less shit at the game, and everything above bronze is purely cosmetic
You can easily craft them by trading up the dozens of crap lead cards you get

I need an engineer. Turtles not coming out anytime soon, and I'm having a hard time deciding between the three available. They're just all so damn good.
I wanna go with proxy because she's just ridiculously fast and can rush EV's and objectives like no tomorrow.
but I've been playing fletcher, and while his grenades don't seem to do a lot of damage, because maybe i'm just not using them right.
but he's pretty underwhelming, but I haven't bothered getting a non default card for him.
Bushwacker on the other hand plays completely differently, and I can't shake the feeling that his turrets really weak and is taken out easily.
but his primary kek10 is what I'm used to on my pheonix, but I kind of don't want a second character using the same primary on my loadout. it feels redundant.
but bushwackers kind of the coolest guy around. I like the way he looks and sounds.

She's a sanic, relies on speed and small hitbox, great for attacking by flanking and throwing mine into a crowd, or defence by placing mines in unpredictable spots. She's really squishy though compared to the guy engis. Has 2 shotties and a good SMG.

Current meta, his stickies do 100 damage if they get stuck on the enemy, so you can oneshot anything from Phoenix and Vassilli to the squishy girls. 2 shotties and Blishlok, which has a slow fire rate, but is very accurate and damaging, therefore deadly in good hands. Lock-on perk is very helpful, since you rely on spamming stickies a lot. He's also a little bit faster than other mercs in his health tier. Good for both offence/defence.

SMG user, decent on offence thanks to kek, but best on defence. Put your turret in unpredictable spots, or create crossfires with it. A properly placed turret acts like another merc on your team. Lock-on is important. When attacking turret is also god for protecting a planted C4.

I was looking to get a merc who can get rid of enemy nests or help my team get rid of enemy nests, but I needed them to be able to work indoors and outdoors so I couldnt rely on airstrikes, artillery, lasers.

Any advice out there for an aspiring medic main? I tend to underestimate my matchups a lot of times and have a hard time landing large health packs directly.
It's as if nobody actually wants the heals.

Try pressing 4 to select the packs then clicking to throw them, maybe you can hit more pubbies that way. Also, tips for being a medic: fight first then heal/revive either after the fight is over or if you catch a break from it, remember your guns are just as good as anyone else's so you should be getting kills too, though it's OK if you don't get all that many but try to at least break 10, maybe 15 kills per half in longer stopwatch games (getting a lot of assists is fine too). But don't stray out from your team too much either, find the sweet spot so you're not too pockety but not full Rambo combat medic either. Always charge defibs when you can. If your team has a good killer you might want to pocket him instead of running around helping the whole team that's roaming around the map.

You're a 120HP class with mostly reliable guns in the Crotzni and SMG-9, so you can go 1v1 with anyone in a pinch. Just remember that you're a medic so you have an excuse to wait for a buddy instead of charging ahead.
Prioritize yourself for healing over teammates, you can't revive anyone while dead. Throw packs at people but don't sweat it if you miss, if they're good players they will probably notice and pick it up anyways, and if they're bad players it probably wouldn't have mattered.

You misunderstand. I DON'T think it's bad. *Other* people do, and according to the meta it's one of his worst cards, but I myself love it and have used it exclusively for six months.
Also, frankly I love Try Hard. Half the time I don't notice it because I'm getting kills, but if I have a misstep, that extra HP comes in really handy. I've found Cool equally as useful, especially on Chapel defense.

it's a gameplay choice. If you push in aggressively, switching to your secondary, knife, satalite, fast is more useful than reloading faster.
If you sit back and don't get into big streaks drilled is fine.
To put it simply, being faster in combat is more useful to me than being faster out of combat.

In theory, if you have another 3 players willing to afk, you can join ebin server with high ping no one goes to and just AHK your jumps. 30 mins per match, new map is chosen automatically, to spawn you need to press jump and even then it is still automated.

It used to be that if you had good timing you could get a good damage output.
If you failed your dps would be lowered by quite a bit because of the missed burst.
Then fagaleth cryed about muh exploits killing his sparks in 2-3 bursts.
So they made it more easy to use for everybody by lowering the skill cap.

There is a difference between burst and full auto though.
The same way there is a difference between blishlock and traditional smgs.
But the difference is not something you will experience unless you are playing at the highend vs other competitive players.
Well, as much as I love Dirty Bomb, this general is horrible, maybe good games have bad generals, since people are playing it.

Putting a Sticky bomb character is this game was fucking retarded, I understand the idea is to create traps around bottlenecks and cut off obvious travel routes. Yet SD had to have known that no one would ever use them for that. Just look at the TF2 Demo, the stickies are the primary form of offense and its just about shitting them out all over the place.
Fragger gets one grenade on a pretty long cooldown and Fletcher gets fifty fucking billion bombs to chain detonate.

Arty is played kinda like a more mobile Fragger, you're not quite as tanky but you shit out bullets nonstop with the burst rifles. Call down the arty strike to clear a nest or if you're anticipating someone moving into that spot.
The arty strike deals damage in three separate hits and the overall radius is not very large, especially if you don't have Explodydendron. Two perfectly placed strikes can take out the EV immediately but usually it will take three because of how shitty the targeting is around the EV.

People can also read a book in millions of ways depending on how they interpret the story or facts presented. Or even on a more abstract level, how they interpret a sentence, or even how they interpret letters.
Just because they can assign any meaning to the letters and end up with a mess of symbols instead of a cohesive text, doesn't mean the book wasn't simple enough for them because it didn't include pictures that are easier to understand for retards who can't read.

They have to be literally perfect strikes, I've done it like four times ever and Arty is my go-to class for maps like Chapel. If any of the six (3x2) bombs land next to the EV instead of directly on top of it you lose too much damage.

Like these other's have said, Phoenix and Aura are good in pubs because their healing abilities aren't as easily wasted and you can heal yourself quicker. I really like Phoenix the most because of his instant self heal at the same time as healing others. I never have to prioritize anything, I just do it for all of us. He's also the fastest male character and packs a Kek. I would say he's weaker in comp games or games with more coordination, but when you're in a server full of people who won't listen and who run around ignoring your med packs, he's pretty nice. His self-revive is also really nice when you get hit by a spawn nade or someone blew a mine in your face.
Sawbonez is definitely the best all rounder and the only medic to have Unshakable and the only medic that isn't one shot by Fletcher normally. He's great, I just think the other two are easier to use when no one is paying attention.

I think it's her size and speed that really do it. She's so hard to hit when people AD AD and generally keep moving. I move around a lot, move side to side a lot, and long jump a lot and people with decent aim seem to struggle against me. If I switch to Arty or Stoker, I get drilled by them, but then I go Kira and suddenly I'm only losing 30-40 HP during a fight.
I freak out and spaz a lot with my mouse in close quarters so I miss like 50% my shots with automatic weapons
I think using non automatic weapons would help my aim a lot.

I love Ammo Stations. Sure giving yourself ammo is a bit more of a pain, but I use them all the time to block doorways and as a warning for when my back is compromised. Plus they are nice for pub games for when you spawn in as attackers or nearby areas on defense. I also use them to block objectives like on Terminal and Underground.
Sometimes as a shield too during a fight, but it doesn't provide much cover. Still it can save you a couple of shots during your fight giving you enough time to finish.

Tough call. On one hand, there's always an Engi available on free rotation, on the other hand Skyhammer is already a really good ammo merc and he has good BR-16 cards already. I would get a BR-16 card for Skyhammer first, then get Proxy, then get Arty later. Once you get good with the BR-16, you'll be good with the Stark too and then you can learn Arty's ability, but you'll already be comfortable with burst rifles.

M92 is considered the best.
My personal favorite is M63 which has Explodydendron, Looter and Mechanic. It's the 'I need to do everything' loadout. Killing medics to get extra HP, repairing/disarming and explody on his air strike is huge.
B53 and B92 are also good BR-16 loadouts. T63 is his best Timik card.

I like pheonix a lot
he is pretty quick, has sub machine guns, and his healing pulse is a lot of aoe healing if used at the right time.
