Happened to me one time as QM when xenos took over the station and I ran down to the roid to grab hardsuits for my cargotechs. When I got back the techs were lying on the floor with facehuggers. And purple weeds all around them. Went to drag one to surgery when I met the queen alien and hunters in medbay. I was chased out the airlock and spaced myself. I could hear all the scream over comms but couldn't do anything but float. Had a full tank of air, a margarita pizza, my QM stamp, and all the day's paperwork in my clipboard completely unsorted or stamped. Cruised along filling out paperwork from the recently deceased techs while singing "I wish I was in Dixie Land." I started go a little nuts and talking to my clipboard. Eventually I landed back on the station. Near the security target range. All the windows were broken, station power was flickering, and the whole place was depressurized. No one was answering over station bounced. Purple weeds and eggs were everywhere. Just as I was contemplating how to get passed them a xeno popped out of the vents. I ran back out to space and the xeno followed throwing face huggers at me but missed. Then thrashed and screamed when it realized it had now way back and drifted off the station. Started drifting again feeling pretty useless when I hit the pirate ship dead center on the window. In the cockpit was the HoS, CMO, and Captain. "We got him." They had been tracking my suit sensors and I was the last survivor. Just us four. At least 20 xenos on the station. We talked it over and the only thing left to do was nuke the station. (continued)

The ship was parked north of the station. As the only unarmed member of the crew I volunteered to stay behind in the ship and coordinate while watching the crew monitor. CMO and HoS went and grabbed the nuke. Captain went tothe bridge to call the shuttle. On the bridge he stopped responding over comms. Vitals still showed him alive. The Captain had the disk on him. Tell the CMO and HoS to get down there but things get to hairy. They're in a huge firefight and being chased through space with the nuke. Then the Captain starts moving again. He's heading back to the ship. Still no answer over comms. Airlocks open and the Captain walks in without a helmet, headset, or mask. "I'm infected. The nuke code is 56782" Then the Captain immediately explodes into a pile of gibs with the nuke disk ontop as a tiny xeno baby scurries off. CMO runs in and grabs the disk. I tell him the code. Nuke is armed and they tell me to get back to the station and evacuate on the research shuttle. Look out the airlock and xenos are swarming the pirate ship. The Captain's baby xeno must have tipped them off. Tell the HoS and CMO to go on without me. Hear them say "We made it." right before I slip into crit with xenos slashing at me as the nuke goes off. I didn't contribute as much as everyone else but it was a hell of a ride.

Only if it's in-game required. Something where the IAA/Lawyer has to report that the Captain knowingly allowed a criminal to be locked behind permanent bars.
Have a whole system in play where CentComm can actively see if the Crew is commiting crimes against humanity with trials. Sensors going off in Perma without a trial fax being sent in. Require such events to be prefaced by the journalist documenting it with photographic evidence. If not, the subject still remains that there must be evidence in many forms for permabrig or executions. Finally, a shuttle will arrive to take criminals away since they only pose a threat while housed on the station.
It'll have to be a big thing with a lot of thought into it. Otherwise it'd just be shitty.

Yeah I feel you there but that's always the case with medium RP. It's not ALWAYS going to live up to plans and expectations, just like anything else in life honestly, but we'll do our best and the more admins we get on board for it the better it'll likely be.

It's already a bannable offense to aid and assist a prisoner getting released from prison, that's being a dick to security and the crew, and greytiding, messing up the trial intentionally is something we could make specific medium rp bans for I suppose, that'll be discussed when more admins come in.
