Every map that is US against Japan has the Japanese starting on aircraft carriers except Iwo Jima (are there any others?). Only some specific aircraft start on carriers (even though they're in the "naval" line) and the rest get a free airstart. Once you're past Jap T3 you'll never see anybody start on the aircraft carrier, meaning that their entire team is airstarting while some of the most popular US planes (F8F etc) will always start on the carrier.
At low tiers the zeroes climb really fast so it probably looks like they're getting airstarts, but only one or two of the A6M2/3 don't have a carrier start. Coupled with a number of severely undertiered spacerockets throughout the tree, you can expect to pretty much always find yourself at a lower altitude then the japs unless you sideclimb.

If you remove the bind for the one that you hold the key for and bind the key to the one that toggles it basically achieves what you want. I'm not at the computer but they're both in seperate tabs of the controls, I think the toggle one is one of the first general tabs not specific to tanks or air possibly.

Even with changes to the weight and armament of the turret, the electric motor was able to move it at a constant speed. All UPT graduates fly the "shitty turboprop" and then go on to fly the "a helicopter", the "a jet", or the "a different jet", and it's impossible to tell which of those aircraft I flew or what I fly now from the picture I posted but it doesn't matter because the argument was about Gs, not about flying jets, except now that you're trying to make it about that because it became clear that I'm not "a cessna pilot".
A g suit is not a panacea and it doesn't let you pull g forever without fear. Gs are exhausting and if you're not ready with your strain, well hydrated, etc they'll fuck you up even at lower levels. I think the best approach would either be one tree with everything in it, where you can move down or across it to research what you want, or a few trees that are based one something other than nation, like in AW.
The matchmaker could be made to put all vehicles of a specific nation on one side, as it does most of the time already. You could also have things like a 109 being assigned to the Finnish on one team, and it gets Finnish markings instead of the default German - a number of vehicles could be made to do such things.

All I've managed to think of so far, I'm stumped as to whether or not France and Italy should have a tree.
On the one hand, their early-war and post-war equipment was decent, but WW wouldn't be very fleshed out at all for tanks or air. Navy wouldn't be much of a problem because the German and Soviet navies were shit (and the Soviet at least was worse) and they'd both almost certainly be included.
Italy's a bit in the same boat, but rather than having a period of national exile they simply sort of fall apart mid-war on and then have decent post-war stuff, and their navy is certainly worth including. Perhaps Gaijin could take a bit of creative license with history and include a French tree in the British (excluding Vichy shit, especially ships) going along with the whole 'government-in-exile' shit and military co-operation, and an Italian one in the Germany for WW and then give them both space in the international tree or a national one for CW.
The trouble is, Italy's planes and ships are both are arguably well-deserving of a tree, and French ships are too (and its tanks up until capitulation).

I've been advocating something like this for a while, at least for the jet-era stuff. NATO vs Soviet Bloc makes much more sense for that period, since the relevant nations change after WWII, and would allow for a lot of nations that don't have enough aircraft or tanks to get their own national tree. (France, Sweden, etc.)

Yeah, I'd be fine with that. Polish, Danish, Norwegian, Dutch, Belgian and French (etc.) things should be included at the very least in the UK tree - the French have enough that it would just be awkward to include them all (especially early- and post-war).
And that hints at the problem, really: there has to be some balance between including these nations vehicles of war and not just distilling it all to "these guys vs. these guys." If you were to include the Italian air force in the German tree, for instance, just to avoid an Italian tree then if it's reasonably fleshed out it would be a huge part of it and expand the German forces substantially. If this is done, then there's really very little to stop you just throwing French into British, Allied American nations into US and German puppets into Germany. Where do you stop?

Putting the Polish, Danish, Norwegian, Dutch and Belgians into the Bong tree would cause much of an issue since these countries have nothing past tier 1. Even the best Dutch fighters are probably BR 2.0 at best.
It would diversify tier 1 quite a bit but the UK tree wouldn't become bloated as a result.
